[Bye Amber. And of course I care...I just might not be on until after 4:30pm because of pre-camp.]
Paranormal Vortex snorted just as Sadie pressed her lips to his soft nose, ruining an otherwise perfect moment. The colt didn't care about her affection now until after he'd finished eating. She'd be permitted to coddle him all she wanted after that. Actually, he already knew the routine. Once he had eaten and relaxed for half an hour, he'd be taken out for some exercise. He'd been put under saddle for the first time a month and a half ago and he was just being introduced to the practice track.
Celestial Zephyr pricked his ears forward, tossing his head in response to Sadie's little question. Sometimes he did things and it just seemed too perfect, as if he knew more than he was supposed to. The colt waited patiently beside Sadie, never once pushing her arm aside to try and get to his meal a little early. The colt was too sweet to do that.
On the other hand, Gallant Marines was crowding Adam, shoving him, stepping on his toes, and nipping him to hurry it up. "You know, biting is just going to slow me down," The jockey muttered, gently pushing his nose away. Gal swung his head up and slammed it into Adam's shoulder, knocking the bucket out of his hands. "You're eating it now, Gal." Adam muttered, leaving the food in the bedding. Gallant Marines let out an offended snort, glaring at him before dropping his head to eat. He had to pick through the bedding to get the morsels he wanted.

[XDDD Whoo! :3 Your post cracks me up... |DD]
Lynn glanced up, smile turning into a grin. She all but ran over to Aiden, wrapping her one good arm around him and pulling him into a hug. "Hey!" she said, feeling happier than she had in a while. Lynn tried to ignore the bubbling feelings of confusion inside of her, able to push them back for the time being. She rested her face against his shoulder. "I'm doing alright," she said through his shirt.

[You crack up over strange things. | I think the current length that we've so far achieved should be maintained. This is good so far and I think it'll up the anti on this roleplay a bit. Try to keep chat at a minimum or paired with an RP post.]
Aiden was more than a little surprised by the rush of affection on Lynn's part. He wasn't quite so used to being hugged like this and it showed as awkwardness flitted across his face, betraying him. His semi-pale skin flushed faintly and he flashed a shy smile. "Uh...happy to see me, aren't you?" Shadow had been jolted awake, head jerking up to stare at Lynn, eyes wide. The whites of his eyes just barely showed and it was more comical looking than him appearing frightened.

Sadie quickly poured Zeph's food and gave him a scratch on the cheek before sliding out of the stall again. She glanced down the way and then over at Nessie when th mare nicked. The white horse tossed her head and shifted, ears cupped forward. She wanted more food, and looked hopefully at her owner. The mare was quite fond of meal times and would practically eat anything given. Sadie gave in and offered her a few cheeks before rubbing one of her ears. Nessie gave a soft sigh and pushed her nose into her owner's cheek. Sadie's gaze shifted towards Adam, she raised an eyebrow faintly before slowly making her way back to the jockey. She had a sleepy look, with dull, glassy eyes and a slightly sluggish walk.

Adam had just finished feeding Gallant Marines, rubbing his shoulder where he'd been nipped by the pushy palomino stallion. "I ought to just file his tee-" Adam cut off, frowning slightly at Sadie. "Are you really tired already? It's early morning and you look like you've been working for a whole day. Did you not sleep well last night?" A cocky smile appeared. "Got something...someone on your mind?" He winked and leaned a little closer. He'd definitely returned.
The sound of a car's engine backfiring announced the return of Miguel Mendoza. The Mexican jockey left early each morning to exercise horses at Cedar Creek Downs, scoring mounts now and then. It seemed that trainers liked the young man, for he was quiet and surprisingly humble. He knew his place and did as asked to the best of his ability. He never complained, only promising to try harder the next time an opportunity was given.

[Oh yes I do. xD You should see me in real life... Heh. And yeah, I chat a lot, sorry! I'll make my posts extra long and stop chatting. ^^]
Lynn let him go with a shy smile on her face, cheeks a bit pink. She tugged her blonde ponytail out of habit, but cringed because of the rush of pain in her head that the simple gesture caused. Her face dropped, but she tried to shrug the feeling off. "Yes," Lynn said, grinning sheepishly. "I'm glad to be back. I missed you...the horses...the farm...everything. I know you're supposed to recover in the hospital, but it kinda makes everything worse." She shook her head, trying to remember if there was a difference in her health from the time she checked in to the hospital and the time she left. Of course there was. Right? Lynn bit her lip, mind clouding with confusion. She looked back up at Aiden. "Sorry. I don't know what's wrong with me lately," she admitted, flustered.

Sadie wrinkled her nose and shook her head. "It's... Too early." She mumbled. She raised her eyebrow at him before flashing a teasing smile. She shifted her weight from foot to foot before answering. "Maybe..." She said innocently, batting her eyelashes for a moment. Nessie snorted down the way, shaking out her mane, which needed to be cut. It fell in waves on either side of her neck and withers. She lipped at her stall lock, soon growing frustrated on not being able to escape.

[I'm not saying that at all, Misty! I mean it in general. I've got a chatroom and there's a chatbox for a reason. I just know that many pages on the old Cross were from chatting. And your post length is fine. | Brb, sparklers!]
Aiden shrugged at once, having just missed the expression of pain that flashed across Lynn's face. "I honestly have to agree with you. I've been in the hospital before and it's a miserable experience. I was gone for quite a few days and I only really started to feel better once I'd gotten home and was able to be around my horse." Aiden never really talked about his accident, seeing as it had happened about two and a half years ago, maybe longer. "You're still recovering. It takes time to get better, okay? Don't feel bad."
Adam pulled Sadie lightly into his arms. "Well, perhaps if you ate a good breakfast, one that had nutrients in it, you'd be feeling a bit better." Adam was pleased with himself. He'd found a balance in his bulimia, keeping weight for racing, and staying healthy enough to avoid needing to see the medic. He felt energized and on top of things. "Haven't I been telling you to give it a try? Vitamins do help, by the way." He had mentioned this before, not long after he'd started feeling better, of course.

[Oh, alright! (: Cool, I love sparklers!]
Lynn nodded slowly, comprehending everything he said. Everything seemed to be in slow motion when it had to do with her mind lately. It was driving her crazy. She was tempted to ask him what had happened, but decided that it probably wasn't the best thing to ask. She knew from experience; when escaping from her room at the hospital after she'd been in it for a while, it was always awkward when someone asked her what happened, and it made her brain hurt worse, trying to remember. "Thanks, Aiden." She said. His words had made her feel a bit better. Lynn leaned against the stall, suddenly getting a massive headache. The doctors had warned her about what concussions did to your mind, how you could suddenly get headaches, how lots of strange things could happen, but Lynn didn't remember this. Her medications were all the way back in her room. She pressed a hand against her forehead, trying to turn her head to the side to conceal this. The eighteen-year-old took a deep breath, feeling faint.

Sadie wrapped her arms around his neck gently, eyebrows raising for a moment. "I guess I did..." She trailed off for a moment, glancing over his shoulder before her gaze settled back on his eyes. "Vitamins? Never really taken them." She mused with a slight shrug. She probably had forgotten him mentioning it, her being a scatter brain and all. She forgot things easily. The jockey stood on her tip toes to kiss Adam.
