Rivers started to become worried when she couldn't find him. At all. Nowhere to be found. Feeling guilty for causing him trouble earlier, she started down the road just to walk up a ways and see if he might, maybe, be down there. She took out one of her fold-over hair ties and pulled her hair back into a slapdash bun. She bit her lip, traveling in cold weather wasn't her thing, and paused. "Hello!" She called out loudly again, seeing something up ahead that was moving. She wanted to cheer up but her face continued to frown. She stuffed her hands into her hoodie pocket as her breaths came out in pale clouds. She began to have second thoughts about doing this. Really, he was a tough-looking guy, he should be able to take care of himself. But it was pretty much her fault he'd left the facility in the first place, so if he got hurt, then she would feel like she was at fault.

((Sorry I poofed, had to skype with me parents.))
Rhys was glad the long, cross country drive was over. It had been hard on both her and the horses. She pulled up the drive to the Cross Facility, the blue paint on her truck slightly dinged but well taken care of. The trailer was in much the same shape, obviously used but well-maintained. Two very different horses waited within, one smaller, sturdier, and patient, the other tall, young, and restless. She slipped out of the cab, going around to the side of the trailer and stepping up on the running board so she could peer inside and check on her two boys.
"Easy Gent, easy Killer. Just a bit longer." She was dressed in dark jeans and brown knee high boots, a red turtleneck and a brown leather jacket helping to fend off the cold. Zipping up her jacket she glanced around and spotted another figure shivering in the cold. Striding towards him she spoke up, her voice clear and friendly. "Hey, I've got a couple of horses here I'd like to get settled- could you tell me where I can find a jockey named Jess? I'd like his help." She flashed a quick smile, totally unaware that she was talking to the person she was looking for.
(I'll be on and off, cooking dinner)

Jordan grumbled when he heard the familiarty of that one girl's voice. Danggit. She'd followed him. He picked up the pace and ran his hand through his hair a few times, then his feet tangled and he tripped. He sighed, rolling onto his back and just staring at the ground. Whatever. Let her find him right here, freezing in the snow. Perhaps she'd try to wheedle him into getting up. Or pull him up. Well good luck lifting nearly 200 pound man.

Sorry I'm studying. Bleh.
Short posts, again, really sorry.
Rivers stared down and Jordan blankly. "You should get up." She informed him surely, looming over him. This guy was nuts. Who laid down like this to freeze? "What happened to you?" She mumbled to herself dryly, trying to grab hold of his hands to get him up.

The corners of Jess's mouth tugged into a wide, toothy grin. The man nodded and raised his brows. "M-hm. Jesse Whitewood at your service." He saluted the woman humorously and then waited patiently for her to lead him so he could assist. He glanced at her trailer inquisitively; so these were the horses he'd be working with? Both looked quite promising. He'd seen a lot of horses with potential to make it big, but he would only wait until they actually etched their names in the racing world until he openly expressed that he'd known they'd dominate the tracks. Right now, though, it was his turn to awe people with this lady's horses. Perhaps this would be his chance in stardom. If it was, he was glad she'd trusted him to help her. This was what he needed. The jockey headed in the direction of the truck and trailer, glancing at Rhys. "What're their registered names?" He questioned, wondering which one he'd be leading out. He liked the short one, horses of bigger build generally caught his eye. But he liked the taller one's legs, a tall thoroughbred usually gave a longer stride. He'd just have to put them to the test; maybe they'd both be of good trust and potential.
Jordan decided against his plan and sat up, staring up at the girl distastefully. "What's wrong with me?" He spat, at least he was talking. "You've got nerve following me, kid. And as for your question, life. That's all you deserve to hear and know." He grumbled and dusted the powdery snow off the jeans over his thighs.

"Stop being such a butthurt baby about it all! We all have our problems but your taking it to an extreme, laying out on the side of a da-n road!" Rivers shouted back at him, growing mad quickly. "Why can't you just go home before someone runs you over?" She snapped, shifting nervously as a car hurtled by, the Doppler effect frightening her as it always did. "And don't call me a kid. Your the one acting like a kid." She added snappishly. She was getting flustered because if he would just go home, her conscious would be soothed.
