Alec lifted his head up to look at the young Schimba,"Please leave."he said, his voice barely above a whisper. His mother. His sweet sweet mother was gone and he didn't know what to do about. He felt useless and unworthy of living. What did he have to live for? He no longer had anyone but his father and sister and they were strong enough to get on without him.</sub>

Jai took a deep breath, releasing it slowly. God, he was exhausted. In the depths of his mind, Thanatos had reached out to him, placating his wolf for a moment. Thanatos had called in the middle of Jai's mental battle, and what followed was the voice Jai never thought he'd hear again. His mum. She told him softly that she loved him, that he needed to be strong, that she wasn't hurting anymore.</sub>
