<sub>Blake followed after Kayrin, feeling awful. She had hurt her best friend. She sighed as she drew her wings in and she shot forward until she came up beside the mighty Kayrin."We got rid of her."she said and forced a smile.

Ember's body shuttered with pain,"Jai."she coughed,"Give me the potion."she said, breakin out into a coughing fit. She grabbed for it, but she was to weak to grasp it. She shuttered and eyes began to close, the healing process started to take ahold of her and it was painful.[/sub</sub>

<sub>Jai complied, tearing off the stopper of the vial. He pressed it lightly against her lips, though his hands shook rather noticeably. He was petrified that his mate wouldn't make it. If she died, Jai would be quick to follow. He couldn't live without her.

"Yes," Kayrin responded cheerfully, "we did. I only wish that I could see Unole's face when he feels his connection to his daughter break."</sub>

Jaci woke up some time later, her head still throbbing but she felt better than she had earlier. She got up and dressed, leaving her room to go find Fane. "Fane?" she said softly, knocking on his door. She brushed her short chocolate colored hair back, revealing more freckles on her face. Her electric blue eyes were slightly foggy, most likely from her sleeping for so long. She was dressed in a plain, baggy white tshirt and black tights, her little feet bare. She leaned on the door frame lightly and rubbed between her eyes while she waited for him to answer.

Josie walked into Leto's room, cuts clean and hair pulled over her shoulder in a pretty braid, as if honey had been poured into a mold that shape. She pushed up the sleeve of her gray sweatshirt, the one with the highschool mascot on it, and walked over to Leto's bed. She tilted her head, watching his sleeping form for a moment before poking his shoulder. "Wake up. Waaaake up. Leto!" she narrowed her eyes and crawled onto the bed, sitting on her knees then shaking his shoulder. "Letoooo. We gotta do patrol. Come on. Get uuuuup." She said, voice quiet as to not wake other resting pack members.

<sub>Leto responded instinctively, surging upwards in his bed with a snarl. He grabbed blindly for the intruder before he realized it was Josie. "Good lord," he groaned. "Don't scare me like that. Alright, alright, I'm coming." Grudgingly, Leto rolled out of his comfy, nice warm covers and onto the floor, standing with a wince. His ribs still hurt pretty dang badly, along with every other injury he'd sustained. Grunting, he padded off - okay, limped off - to find a shirt.

"Da?" Fane responded sleepily, opening the door of his room. His hair was tousled with sleep, the silky block locks standing this way and that. He had a cute sleepy expression on his face, his golden-amber eyes misted over a bit. Oh, and Fane didn't have a shirt on, revealing his toned body. Damn, he was in shape; his abs were toned, along with nearly every other muscle. The pajama pants he wore hung low over his waist and he had no socks or shoes on.

<sub>Ember gagged as liquid gold slid down her throat. It burned like whiskey except worst. She sighed as all of it went down her throat. Her body began to convulse and her eyes closed. Jai.. she cried out weakly in his mind. She whimpered and than she went completely still.

She was still for four minutes. She didn't move. Not one bit. She awoke with a scream, the liquid burned in her stomach, but she could feel her bones knitting together and her internal organs heal. She screamed one last time and she crawled into Jai's lap and collapsed.</sub>

Jaci hugged Fane, resting her head on his chest while her arms wrapped around his middle. "Thank you." she murmured, eyes closed tightly. She moved back a bit and looked up at him. "I-I couldn't fall back asleep once I woke up, and I figured you might let me sit with you for a while? My head doesn't hurt so much when you're around." She looked up at him, her eyes big and a purer blue than a bubbling spring. She tugged the waistband of his pants over one of his hips, tilting her head somewhat playfully.

Josie looked at him, eyebrows turned up in slightly pity. She walked over and placed a hand on his shoulderblade. "You sit back down. I'll get your clothes out. Just rest for a big more." She said, giving him a gentle smile. She walked over to his dressed, flipped through a few shirts, before pulling out a soft tshirt and handing it to him. "I'm not sure why you want to get dressed. Your clothes are just going to rip when you shift anyways." she said with a sigh

<sub>"I can get them," Leto grunted, though he took the shirt she offered. "Because it's cold in the house, and shifting is going to hurt like a mother-" Leto stopped himself. "It's gonna hurt really bad." He pulled the shirt over his head, heading for the door. "Coming?" he grunted, tired and sore. The Strigoi had done a number on him. He knew they were strong, but he also knew the vampire hadn't exerted his full strength when he'd attempted to crush the life from Leto.

Fane gave Jaci an odd look. "Sure," he responded, stepping out of her embrace gently to allow her room to enter the den of Fane Lupei. It was adorned with warm, neutral colors; browns and tans and blacks. That sort of thing. He shooed Jaci inside gently, closing the door behind her and securing the lock with a soft 'click.'</sub>

Jaci looked over her shoulder at him after looking around the room. "It's pretty in here. My room is light blue and gray and white." she said, forgetting that he had already been in her room before. She sat on the end of his bed, looking at him and tipping her head to the side, like a do that was thinking about something.

"I tried telling them you were too hurt to do patrol but they wouldn't let me go alone, and Jane is still too banged up. Doru gave her some kind of healing-sleeping spell or something. Can't get her up." Josie said as she followed after him, running her hand through her bangs. She looked at her shoes briefly where they sat by the front door before deciding to go barefoot.

<sub>Fane raised a single eyebrow, noting Jaci's look. "Yes," he told her. 'i saw your room when i brought you in there last night. Are you feeling any better?" Fane has sustained minor wounds during the fight - light scratches here and there, nothing that he was too worried about. He was more concerned about the welfare of Jaci and her two daughters, whom Fane had taken under his wing.

Leto shrugged, taking the stairs slowly, wincing every now and then. He, too, decided shoes were useless as he exited the house, his feet sinking into the soft, springy grass. He was not looking forward to shifting, that much was certain. He sighed and allowed his wolf half to take the forefront, though it hurt like hell. In a few seconds, longer than normal, Leto landed on four paws. His coat was a mix of tans and deep, blood-reds and smokey grays, making it an interesting combination. His chest, half of his flanks, and his legs were a slight tan, a mix between beige and white. Half-way up his flanks the mix of colors started, the most dominant of them being the red. His muzzle and head were covered in the splash of color, aside from his cheeks and throat. His tail was also colorful, except for the underside.</sub>
