Josie sighed, swiftly sliding off her sweatshirt and pants, only leaving her tanktop and boxershorts, shifted. When her paws hit the ground she was pitch black. Darker than black. The color of what the inside of a black hole might be. It made her eyes seem all the more blue, the pure blue that artists tried to harness to paint skies and oceans. She flinched when she put pressure on her paw that had been cut the night before, feeling the skin that was beginning to heal stretch to allow her weight. She growled slightly as she shook out her fur, her muscles stretching. She found out she was much more sore in wolf form than human. 'Ready?' She asked, glancing at Leto.
Jaci nodded, turning to him. "Yes. I feel much better... still have a headache though," she replied "The girls are fine as well. Janie is pretty beat up, but sleep will help her heal. Josephine is fine. Just a few cuts." She was relieved her girls were safe. "Josie is safe, mostly because of Leto. He is a great fighter, Fane. You've trained him well. He protected my girls. They're safe because of him."

Fane paused, thinking on how to respond. "Leto is a good fighter," he answered. "He is strong and quick, but he learns things rather rapidly. He has skill and the will to protect, as a good fighter should. He will make a marvelous warrior one day, if he is not one already." Fane blinked. "I am relieved to hear they are safe," he said softly.
Leto grunted, his chest aching. Yeah. Let's take it slow today though, since your paw hurts and I can't really breath, eh?

Josie simply nodded, starting to limp off towards the trees. If you roll in a dead squirrel I'm not coming near you for a week. Those things smell terrible. she growled playfully, her pace slow and steady, yet still feminine and young. She nudged his cheek gently with her nose, carefully not to harm any cuts on his face.
"I'm glad your Leto is safe too." Jaci said, a slight blush tinging her face. She looked over his face, noticing small scars here and there and maybe a freckle or dimple. She shivered, skin covered with chill bumps in a few seconds. "It's cold in here." Even with her canine temperature, her small size made Jaci get chills often.

"I like the cold," Fane responded. Nevertheless, he pulled a blanket from a chair in his room and draped it over Jaci's shoulder. He wasn't lying. He really did like the cold. When you were cold, you could put more clothes on to get warm. When you were hot, there were only so many articles of clothing you could take off before you could get arrested. Yup, Fane preferred the cold.
Leto grunted. 'Least I don't roll in dead skunks. And I'm not a dog, chica. I'm a wolf.

"All boys are dogs at some point." Jane said with a teasing lilt. She looked at him slyly, her ears pricked and eyes playful despite her soreness. She pranced and jumped around and pounced like a small pup, though her paw was still sore. She dipped towards him, landing a nip on his ear before bounding away a few steps again. Her fluffy tail wagged like a blur of shadows, her coat ruffled up somewhat.
Jaci held onto the blanket, cuddling into it's warmth. She crossed her legs Indian style and looked at Fane curiously. "So, any idea on what Doru plans to do next?" she asked, eyebrows quirking up a bit in curiousity. She brushed her hair away from her face and cuddled deeper into the blanket.

Leto grunted, wincing as she nipped his ear. He felt bad for not being in the mood to play, but he was too sore. As it was, it was hard enough to breath just walking at a leisurely pace. Ugh, Jos, not now. Too sore. Can't breath. 'Sides, you're gonna hurt your paw again, prancing around like a madman.
Fane shook his head. "No, but I do not think he will retaliate. If he does, he will give Costin the excuse to launch all of his forces. This was a small party. Costin will claim that he did not control them and that they were zealots in his kind before banishing them or killing them. If Doru retaliates, Costin will have the excuse he needs to attack."

"And there aren't that many of us as there are of them." Jaci sighed. She crossed her arms, her hands rubbing her biceps as she thought. "This is going to be one long war. Isn't it?" She asked, raising her eyebrows at him.
Josie stopped quickly. 'Sorry...'. She kept her eyes on the ground for a while before keeping her eyes focused ahead of them. I don't even know what we're looking out for. It's not like the Strigoi would make another attack this soon after that first one..
Jane groggily got up, her hair sticking up every which way. Her eyes were narrowed to slits and she walked towards the kitchen to get something to drink. She snarled at one of the younger pups that got in her way and smirked at they scurried away.
[Wanna rp Jane and Eric?]

[Eric? ohhh Erik. lol sure]
Erik paced angrily in the living room. He was pissed. Beyond pissed, actually. His pack had been attacked and he'd been out of the state on a business matter, though he rushed back when he'd received the call from his father that they'd been targeted and attacked and that some of his wolves had been hurt. His eyes flashed wolf for a moment.
"Yes," Fane said softly. "It is. We will need all the help we can get from the Schimba."
Nah, don't be sorry. It's fine. We're both tired, I think. Leto swiveled an ear. I dunno.

I'm so tired...I'm hyper. Josie said, shaking her coat out. She hung her head, sniffing the ground for a few moments before continuing to trot on.
Jane rolled her eyes at Erik. "Oh! Look who finally showed up. Mr. Prince of the Pricolici." She walked up to him, limping and her hand holding her side. She snarled and pushed his chest. "Where were we when we needed you! You are so lucky your father was here."
"What few Schimba there are. There is no doubt we are outnumbered." Jaci said quietly, her voice holding a sad and worried tone within it.

Erik spun on Jane. "Where was I?" he growled. "I was making sure the pack had enough money to exist, Jane! Where the hell was I!" he roared. God, he didn't want to deal with this right now. He was pissed enough without Jane getting in his face.
Leto grunted something unintelligible.
Fane nodded. "We must have faith in our friends," he sighed.
