Anne jumped in surprise, letting out a weird noise as he spooked her, causing Harley to bark and poke his head around to see who was there. She put her hand over her racing heart and scowled at him. "Geez, you just come out of nowhere." She leaned back, listening to the purr of her small car. "Yeah, I've got to meet my mom there in twenty minutes. Oh, and I got some stuff." She pointed to a Walmart bag filled with necessities. A leather collar much identical to Harley's with rainbow-colored, shiny dog tags that read the name of the dog she'd adopted engraved into the colorful metal was joined up by a new dog brush - she'd been needing a better one for a while, and since the dog she was adopting was rather furry, why not? - along with a new leash. Harley also had a cute little blue bandana covering his leather collar, evidently something she'd also gotten for fun when she'd gone to the shops the other day. He seemed to be rocking it, but it wasn't for long until he'd have it torn and ripped off. Silly goose, he seemed to always tear things apart and ruin everything. The only things that hadn't been touched were the furniture and pillows in Anne's room, seeing as he'd been scolded plenty enough to learn not to chew on her arm-chair or her sheets. Everything else seemed rather welcoming for the Heeler mix - he was a devious one. After all, he was only a year-old and always getting into mischief.

Harry smirked slightly at the odd noise she made. He put his hands in his pockets, listening in silence to Anne's plans. "Can I come with?" He asked once she was done. "To get the dog with you?"

{It's aight. Not like this is that interesting to RP.}
Anne nodded, Harley watching Harry intently before he busied himself in cuddling up in the back seat. "Yeah, climb in. It's kinda small." She peered up at him through her lashes with big brown eyes, lips mirroring his smirk. "Someone looks cheeky today."

"Okay." He took to the passenger seat whenever he'd been invited inside. He found himself a bit crammed due to having such long legs and a small amount of space for them to fit in, but it would have to do. "I do?" He arched a brow slightly before he smirked, deciding to re-word her remark and return it. "Someone looks lovely today, as always," He remarked cheesily with a comical smile.
"Uhm...what..," Harry began, but ended up pausing as he peered at something through the windshield, possibly a bug. "Err..Oh, what type of dog are you getting?" He had the tendency to be something of a slow talker.[.sub]

Anne watched him slowly, smile still in tact and showing a bit of teeth. Her brown eyes followed his every movement, frowning a tad when she noticed his legs wouldn't fit that good. "Sorry." She sighed, running a hand through her hair and smiling awkwardly at his compliment. "Stooooop." She scolded playfully, tugging on a piece of her hair and pulling a face. "I look horrid." She objected, pulling out of the lot and down the road.
Anne started giggling at Harry for what reason, she didn't know, eyes focused out the windshield as she shook her head lightly. "Uhhh... She's an Australian Shepherd, far as I'm concerned. Brown and white. She's really pretty." Her eyes wandered away and flicked to Harry briefly, before she focused back on the road and slowed a little. "Oh, you'll be able to meet my mom, too!" She snapped her fingers, recalling he'd never met her. "Everyone says we look a lot alike." She stated haphazardly, glancing at the male again. Harley had stood up when the car had started moving and now had poked his head over and was sniffing Harry, tail waving in the air.

"Yeah, I haven't met your parents yet," Harry agreed with a shrug of his shoulders. He turned his head when Harley began to sniff him, reaching a hand out and petting the dog for a little while as Anne drove. "Also, no you don't. Stop saying that you do, Anne." His voice was hard and his brows had come together slightly. He couldn't tell whether she was kidding or not when she said she looked horrid, but he disliked it nonetheless.
Harry took his hands back into his lap and stared out the window lazily. Some of the sun scintillated off the top of his curls, bronzing them with the light and causing the brown to appear a shade less. He blinked and rubbed one of his eyes with a fist, still in silence. His mossy green eyes followed the passing shops and road signs emptily. He didn't make a game out of it and only watched with little interest. He then glanced back towards Anne, eyes focusing on her as she drove, seeming to be intent and studying.

"But..." Anne trailed off, falling silent and deciding it was best not to argue. As they got further into town, she spotted the shelter that held her new companion. "Looks like my mom is here." She nodded to a silver hybrid Ford car. Parking, she pulled her keys out of the ignition and leaned forward, pressing a soft kiss to Harry's cheek. "C'mon, let's go talk to my mother. I might as well apologize beforehand for anything she does or says." She rolled her eyes as she slid out of the cars. "Make sure Harley doesn't get out." She said as she cracked all the windows so he could get air. "He's going to be really excited when we bring her back. I'm a bit worried." She frowned and shut the door, waiting for Harry as Mrs. Churchill made her way over. She did indeed look a lot like an older, more matured version of Anne, except her eyes were a bright blue and she had faint crinkles by her eyes from years of wide smiles. "Hey, I brought a friend." She motioned to the male in her little Honda before stuffing her hands in her pockets. The older lady quirked her brows quizzically, but Anne just shrugged and watched Harry carefully.

Harry smiled at Anne's kiss before nodding. He'd already exited the car by the time Anne's mum had come over, positioned at Anne's side and feeling somewhat odd looking down on both females, as if he was yet to grow use to his height. "Hello," He began in a deep voice as he focused on Mrs. Churchill. "I'm Harry," He finished slowly. One of his hands found its way to his pocket while he held the other out for her mother. Admittedly, he couldn't recall ever meeting relatives of any of the girls he's ever been with, so this was a new experience and he wasn't exactly sure what to do besides be polite.

Anne stood an appropriate distance from Harry's side, brown eyes watching the two interact. The woman gratefully took his hand, used to people hovering over her as she was merely 5'3. "Hi, Harry," She tipped her head softly to the side, smiling a tad. "I'm Rennay." She introduced, glancing at Anne. The girl smirked and started giggling for no reason, looking away and covering her muzzle with her hands as she broke into fits of chuckles and musical, humorous laughter. When she looked back over with a huge, toothy grin on her face and biting her lip to contain more laughing, she met her mother's bewildered gaze, the lady's single brow kinked as she awaited an explanation.
"Nothing, lesgo!" Anne cheerily headed for the adoption center's entrance, chuckling as she shoved her hands in her thin jacket's pockets.

"Nice to meet you." He turned and cast Anne a funny look when she turned all grins and giggles, just as confused as her mum was, though he hardly questioned the girl's behavior. Harry followed behind the women and passed the building's front doors. Before entering he glanced back to see how Harley was doing in the car, just to see that the dog was okay. Harry peered around whenever they entered the adoption center. He was greeted by the noise of many animals, mostly canines from what he could hear and see. He shook out his hair before then swooping it back to the right, waiting for either Anne or her mum to begin speaking.
