Ever shot him a look of pure venom. She didn't know how yet, but she was gonna make him pay. She muttered a few more choice words as she followed after Rebel and Ethan. Well at least one thing came out of this, Ever had found out Rebel had some speed to her and if worked right she could make a good mount. She grumbled all the way to the stables. Her brow furrowed though when she passed the broodmare, she smelled alcohol and she didn't like it.
A few minutes later after Ever had untacked Lyric and rubbed her down, she found her way back to the broodmare section. She followed the scent of alcohol, she could recognize that smell anywhere. Her brow furrowed her once more when she saw it was Aiden,"Hey? You okay?"she asked, softly, tapping him lightly on the shoulder.

"Yeah? It's an all new shampoo I'm trying. Do you like it? Yay or nay?" Adam asked, grimacing as he realized that Zoey was probably right. "I really need to switch shampoo. The horses seem to love it more than Aunt Sadie does..." He sighed, frustrated. "Do the horses eat your hair, kiddo? What do you use? L'oreal kids? 'Cause you're worth it?" He asked aloud, blue eyes bright with amusement suddenly.
Aiden was watching the chubby broodmares. It had been confirmed that two were in foal and would be due the following year after all. Their foals were doing well and growing spectacularly. It was good news for him. Well, for the facility, anyway. He glanced toward the mares but jumped when Ever appeared. His hazel blue eyes glistened with confusion. "Yeah, fine. Or, as fine as I'd ever be. Why?" He asked warily, shifting slightly. Ever was making him uncomfortable.
Alexander noticed the change in posture and a faint glimmer of satisfaction flashed across his face as Fitz finally caught up. Only once the filly had slowed though. "Steady, bud." He whispered, glancing toward Sadie and LuLu.

Stacy sighed and finally led her two horses into the stable after they had gotten all tuckered out from running in the pasture. She tied them up and gave them both a quick grooming before glancing around, wondering where the owner was. She huffed for all her belongings were still in her truck and she didn't know where to sleep and she was getting tired. She put Twilight and Miracle in their stalls and stretched, yawning. She glanced around before entering the young colt's stall. She laid down in the fresh bedding and soon fell asleep. Miracle laid down and placed in his in her lap as he too fell asleep.

Sadie stood up in the irons as the pair slowed even more. She's made a step towards finally overcoming her fear, in no way, shape or form, was she over this, but it was a big leap forward then where she had been just a few minutes ago. She glanced back towards Alexander with the smallest, shy smile before her face morphed into an expression of concentration again. LuLu had slowed to a trot now, and eventually pulled up into a slow walk as the neared the final turn. LuLu was a speed horse, and she had a long way to go before she was ready to race. Her head bobbed and Sadie let out a soft sigh, glancing up towards the deep, dark, autumn blue sky for a moment. She mumbled something and pulled LuLu to a stop and sat there for a moment, nodding her gratitude to Alexander. Sadie wasn't known for talking to much, she preferred silence, as long as it wasn't awkward.

Ever's concern grew as she took in Aiden's current state. She frowned just the slightest bit, but decided not to push it."What's her name?"she inquired and tilted her head toward the mare. She glanced at Aiden,"I smell alcohol. You're drunk aren't you?"she asked. Ever wasn't one to beat around the bush, so inquiring about the mare had been a shock.
She sighed and sagged against the stable door, letting her weight fall completely on the door."What did you drink? Got any left?"she asked, she hadn't drink since she had been out of rehab and she didn't plan on drinking anytime soon. It messed with her head and she didn't enjoy the feeling. Ever just wanted to get him away from the poisonous drink. She knew how bad alcoholism went. She herself was alcoholic and it was a constant struggle for her not to pick up a bottle and start drinking.

"Same time tomorrow or do you prefer to go with your boyfriend?" Alexander asked but then just gestured. "I must go now..." He excused himself, patting Fitz's neck and urging him into a gallop again. "Stamina, bud. Use stamina." He needed to train him to last a bit longer in races. It was good to be able to balance speed and distance but difficult. "And you must grow used to dirt." He said firmly.
"Frayed Heart. She is a good mare, she's expecting a foal by War Front. It's going to be a fast baby, I'm sure. It'll go fast at auctions, surely." He said firmly and then shook his head. "I drank it all but I'm not drunk. I'm not stupid and I can hold my liquor. I've got a business to run. There's no time to be drunk when there's vet checks and farrier visits today." He muttered. "Why does it concern you?" He was merely curious, not confronting her.

Sadie nodded after the other jockey. "That would be great, thanks Sa-Alexander. I really appreciate it." She said quietly and nodded. She dismounted as him and Fitz continued on. Her knees were a bit shaky, but there was a spark of confidence in her eyes that had been absent for so many months. She pressed her forehead against LuLu's neck and breathed in and out. She stood there for awhile, listening to Sunkissed Lullaby's breathing. Eventually, the pair headed back to the stables, Sadie's movements slow and deliberate. She untacked LuLu and let her out into the pasture before she headed for the bunkhouse. She was covered in dust and horse hair, and smelled like sweat and the stables. Her eyebrows furrowed and she frowned as she stepped into the lobby area. She glanced around, sighed, and went to retrieve a bottle of water from the kitchen.
[I'm not sure...]

Size seven footprints made from a pair Brooks Adrenalines were left behind on a dirt road. They belonged to a small, skinny but slightly muscular female, who was almost done with her four mile run. She looked down at her iPod and adjusted her line green earbuds, slowing for a moment before speeding up once more. Working out was literally like a drug for Bellamy Lynne. Scratch that, adrenaline was her drug. Speed, rush of blood to her head, the pound-pound-pound of her heartbeat. It was only natural that she was a jockey. She was also an athlete, and a bit of a daredevil, though not to the extreme. If you didn't consider horse racing extreme.
Ten minutes later, Bell stepped out of the shower and changed into fitted riding jeans, a blue, gray, and white plaid shirt with quarter-length sleeves, a matching dark blue vest, and her riding boots. Her long mane of dark hair was pulled up on top of her head in a messy bun to dry, and her leather riding gloves hung out of her pocket. She took the stairs two at a time, descending down into the main room, her gray eyes slightly slit in a relaxed expression as she searched the room before swinging the screen door open and heading for the stables.

Adam was already sleeping on the couch. He'd thrown Lion King on for Zoey and a bowl of popcorn sat between him and Zoey. He was worn out from yet another long day of work. He fell asleep watching TV and movies a lot. It happened now and then. His head was drooped toward his chest and a soft snore emitted from him. He seemed content and lulled somehow by the bouncy beat of "I Can't Wait to be King."
Alexander and The Mighty Fitz galloped over the land alone in the twilight. The darkness was rapidly falling over the land but they continued to run. "Just go as far as you can..." He didn't care what happened at that moment. His mind blurred and his head began to pound in time with the horse's hooves. He was so, so alone at that moment, only with his mount. The pain pierced his skull abruptly and all vision fuzzed out to gray. A high pitched whine and a dull roar filled his hearing and he lost all touch with reality. Everything went red and then his eyes opened again. He was on the ground.

Sunkissed Lullaby had evidently dozed off in her stall, but after a few minutes of being left alone, she woke up and grew bored. She shook her long mane out, and stared down the aisle for a moment before she absently lipped at her lock. She hadn't expressed this behavior before, something her mother had been notorious for, but, the filly definately had Nevada Virtue's wierd quirks. After another minute or two working on it, the stall door sprung free and the cherry bay clopped out, ears flickering. She nickered loudly and proudly trotted out into the stable yard, but spooked at the sudden appearance of Bell. The filly shrieked and half-reared, ears pinning back and eyes rolling white.
Sadie had taken a quick shower to scrub herself clean of the dirt and grim, and her hair had been left to dry past her shoulders. She smelled faintly of lavender and oats as she appraised the sleeping Adam and Zoey. She smiled faintly and moved around them as quietly as possible to pick up the bowl of popcorn, as it was almost empty. She disappeared into the kitchen to put it away, not wanting to disturb the sleeping man and child.
