Cyn shrugged. "Affirmative action and all that stuff," she responded, 'though I've yet to join a real race. I'm still training, so to speak, but I'm gonna get there." The loss of her eyesight had been a hard pill to swallow at the age of six, especially for her parents when they were forced to explain why Cyn couldn't see even though her eyes were open. It was hard and had taken a long time to learn brail and get used to navigating by sound alone. Of course, now that Merry was here, it wasn't so bad. But it's not like Merry could go for a piggy-back-ride when Cyn was racing. "Nightmare here knows what he's doing, too."
[:3 There's a surgery now to restore someone's eyesight... might have Cyn do that in the near future,.]

Sadie hid her face against Adam's chest, a habit that normally occurred when they were hugging, and also do to the fact that Adam was four or five inches taller than her. She nodded, indicating that she had heard him talk. She took another moment to let it sink in before she cleared her throat and shifted back again, but was still leaning against him. "He did? That's good, he's come a long way since he came back." At least, that was the case in her opinion. She didn't blame the colt, he'd for sure been through a lot during his time with the thieves, and that definitely had messed with the stallion's mentality. Sadie was just glad that things were looking up for once, overlooking the fact that she had her own struggles at the moment, but she didn't bring them up. They weren't important at the moment, and they weren't on her mind.[/size]

Ever threw herself into her best friend's arms,"Miggy!!"she screamed, hugging him fiercely. It seemed like it had been ages since she had seen her best friend and Ever was so happy she felt like she was going to burst. She gave him one last good squeeze and than realized him and stepped back."Me? Trouble? Pfft. You got the wrong girl."she said, a grin twisting her lips. She awkwardly crossed her arms over her chest, though the grin remained on her lips and it probably would as long as she was in her best friend's company.

Alexander listened carefully, even as he turned to remove the tack that he'd left so carelessly outside of The Mighty Fitz's stall. "Have you ridden with two horses on track before?" He asked curiously. She might realize it was harder to do that than was realized. "Nightmare might like challenge. Fitz does." He commented quietly, not really intending to set up a challenge unless Cyn really read into it as one. Either way, he was just curious about the fully-blind girl. He'd had the fear that he'd lose sight in both eyes, but it hadn't happened. He'd recalled the terror of actually losing the eyesight in the left. The confusion and fear of not knowing what was there. Of course, his was only accented by the paranoia that he already had.
Adam let out a soft chuckle and shifted so that he could see Sadie's face. "C'mon. We're going to go to the track. There's no races tonight, just a few horses running. We're going to get some mounts, okay? We're going to focus now on getting you better. Now that I'm one hundred percent, it's your turn, comprende?" Adam murmured, sliding down carefully from the hood of his truck. "Hop in. And please, Sadie, don't deny that you need to get over this..." Adam pressed softly, navy blue eyes insistent.
"And here I thought your middle name was Trouble. My bad," Miguel teased as he allowed Ever to practically climb all over him. "C'mon. I'm about to sit down for lunch. You ought to join me. I make a mean ham sandwich," Miguel commented quickly.
[Sorry, watching Paint on YouTube. This guy has serious talent.]

Cyn shook her head. "Nah, not yet. Been working with Nightmare, trying to get a feel for his movements and mannerisms. Why?" The horse in question craned his head, gently bumping Cyn's shoulder. She huffed, turning her body slightly to give the midnight black horse a gentle pat on the neck. Her fingers absently curled into the horse's mane and her other hand rose to stroke the colt's velvet nose. "Why? You challenging me?" she grinned.
[sorry short, trying to get this DVD thing to work. I WANNA WATCH LADY AND THE TRAMP.]

Ever laughed softly under her breath,"It still is."she whispered under her breath. Even though she was done 'creating' the trouble, but trouble always seemed to follow her everywhere she went. She nodded,"I ought to, so I guess I will."she said, smiling teasingly as she hopped up on the kitchen counter, which as always was her perch. She began to braid her hair. It was annoying her and Ever didn't do we'll when she was annoyed. A smile appeared on her lips,"So what have you been up to?"she asked, curiously as she bit into a fresh apple.

Alexander grinned wryly despite himself. It was quite unusual to see the young Russian actually smile from a simple conversation. It was almost a pity that Cyn didn't get to see that smile. "If you want it to be challenge. Otherwise, it is just offer to get used to riding around other horses. Fitz would enjoy working with other horses and Nightmare would benefit." He said smoothly, accent causing his words to be said low in his throat in his Russian accent. He hadn't lost the cadenced rhythm of the Motherland even after being in the United States for three years. His English was a touch better than before, though he still left words out in odd places. He ran a hand through his sandy blonde hair, realizing only now that it was starting to get a touch long for his taste, perhaps a tad too shaggy. He'd get that fixed soon.
"Nothing much, Ever. I've been going back between here and Pimlico, but you should know that. Same thing I've done for months. Sharethelove is retired from racing though, so now I have to find a new stakes race mount," Miguel said with a wry smile, shifting to fetch the bread from the bread box so he could make a nourishing ham sandwich. "Did you want one of my masterpieces?
[Gotta go for a bit...]

[Hey, LeeLee!]
"Challenge accepted!" Cyn grinned. "What time you wanna meet at the track?" Tromlui gave a soft whicker, lifting his odd blue gaze to blink at Alexander. Cyn continued to pat the horse's side, the corner of her mouth curled into a half-smirk. It gave her heart-shaped face a unique look, accented by the jet black hair that draped passed her shoulders. Her once vibrant green eyes were glazed with the loss of her sight, staring unseeing into the distance, but the orbs still glittered with emotions like humor and happiness. She was a bit shorter than Alexander, which was natural for jockeys. Meriadoc looked at the Russian, pink tongue lolling, stark against his white teeth.

Sadie slid off of the hood as well, from where she had climbed up to kiss his cheek in the first place. She landed gingerly and spent a moment smoothing her shirt, eyes downcast before lifting to meet his gaze again. Her eyebrows furrowed, and she just nodded. No, she really did not want to go to the track, but she didn't bring this up. She hadn't been to the track in nearly two weeks, her excuse was that she was focusing solely on training LuLu. But this wasn't exactly the case. The last time she had been to the track, it'd been a bit of a disaster. Again, she didn't bring this up either. Sadie offered a smile to Adam before nodding. "Alright... I need to find my bag of gear..." She said, glancing over her shoulder. She actually had no idea where her bag was, but it was an excuse to delay the trip to the track a little bit.

Ever nodded,"Sure. Impress me with your awesome culinary skills."she said, a teasing lilt in her voice. She crossed her ankles and leaned back. Her eyes closed for a brief second as her thoughts wandered far away."I missed you, Miggy."she said, the teasing lilt returning, though she did keep her eyes closed. A hint of smile tugged on her lips as she opened her eyes and took in her surroundings. Haylee's Edit: Spotify, 150 words, just saying
