Raquel's eyes had long since watered, fingers curling as her wrist was grabbed, spur of the moment events and the overwhelming of emotions resulting in the worst of reactions. She did not like this, this life on the run, not one bit. She didn't like this endless game of cat and mouse with minute breaks in between. "I'll tell you in a second," she strained through a clogged throat,"just get to the car." Rocky's jawline strained as it set. Using her free hand she fisted the cloth on the back of Louis' tee, mainly out of habit for needing to hold on, and her feet scampered a little higher than necessary because whenever she was running and couldn't see where it was behind her, she got real skittish. If Farris wasn't to get his job of killing the girl accomplished than surely stress would be the death of her.

Louis nodded, furrowing his brow as the muscles in his arms worked easily in pushing the door open. Heading out, he wrapped an arm around her waist and hurried them to his simple car, eyes wide and he gazed around alertly but nonchalantly, not wanting to draw any attention or make anyone suspiscious. Hurriedly, he fumbled with his keys and unlocked the flashy mobile. "Get in," he ordered as he opened the door, but he knew she wouldn't object as she had been the one to suggest him driving her home. When she was in, he shut her door and walked around, getting in on his side and turning his key in the ignition, listening to the street car purr. "Where am I taking you?" he questioned unsurely, gazing over at her. He didn't wait for her reply, pulling out his spot in a reasonable speed. His face contorted in concentration, as he eased onto the road, not realizing his heart rate had increased and his breathing was heavy from the rush. Calming down, the Englishman let out a sigh and leaned back, the twenty-one year old relaxing his arm on his door while he drove with one hand easily, every now and then glancing at Rocky, the girl he barely knew. "So, are you going to explain to me what the fuck just happened back there?" he didn't bother to apologize for his language, since he was confused and flustered.

Rocky wouldn't say much of anything for a long while, eyes looking fixedly past the window glass on the passenger side. Eventually she brought her thumb to her mouth and began gnawing on the nail out of nasty habit. "I don't mean to drag you into this, my apologies." Rocky was conflicted on whether she was honestly sorry or not. Actually, no, no i'm not, she thought to herself. "Louis, there are strange things happening Las Vegas." Rocky sighed as she chewed too far onto her thumb and it bled some beneath the opaque enamel,"you'll start noticing them if you try hard enough." The female turned, trying to align eye contact if he would look her way. "When's the last time you can remember thinking about leaving the city? Thinking about something that has to do with outside of Las Vegas?"

"Uh... it's okay," Louis replied quietly, blinking. He fell silent, listening intently. When had that been? It seemed so unreasonable to think on such a subject anyway. "Um..." his face screwed up in thought briefly, before glancing at her. "I don't know..." the wheels in his mind turned as it worked hard, and he bit his lip. "What does it matter... This is a great city, anyway. There's nothing better than good old Vegas." he gave a sloppy smile, attention averting to her for a split second to meet her gaze. Suddenly, a thought crossed the back of his mind about his childhood home, and he smirked, before his conscience began to have an inner battle. He seemed to be arguing with himself, jaw tensing as he slammed his fist against the leather of his wheel. "Damn it," he cursed, an aggravated look on his face as stress built up. Every time he tried to think about visiting his mum and sisters, he had some kind of internal war, and it was really ticking him off.

Her eyelids fluttered in minimal alarm with Louis' fitful outburst but it was to last for a mere millisecond. "See," Raquel jumped at the chance to make her point,"it's making you tick." She leaned forth, tucking her knees into folds. "You can't think about home. You can't think about your family. You can't think about those that you love. Louis, can't you see? You can't think about anything but Las Vegas." Raquel cast a look of doubt past her shoulders, ensuring that the car doors were locked, the one along her side at least. "I dare you to drive for the city limits. You probably don't even know where they are." Raquel was sure she was starting to be pressing, irritating, provocative even. "We'll end up in a car crash midway there and if they have their way, not only will it be a crash, but we'll be dead." She propped her feet up onto the dash, bare now that she'd rid them of shoes. "We're lab rats in a cage, Louis."

"How do you know all this? Whats your proof?" Louis asked dumbly, though it was gentle and thoughtful rather than harsh and disagreeing, running out of words to use to argue the subject. He noticed her worries and instinctively pressed a button on his side, satisfied as he heard all the locks to the doors click to signal the metal wouldn't budge. "Don't worry. You're safe. I won't let anyone hurt you," he spoke genuinely, gazing at her before he lost the moment and bit his lip. "Do you live with anyone?" He suddenly asked, eying her inquisitively. He had no idea where he was going, at this point just taking random corners, trying to put as much distance between them and the club as he headed in the general direction towards his apartments, not straying too far.

Raquel didn't care much for so many changing of the course of conversation, and so chose to remain in silence for the most part. "I don't live with anyone and," she paused, picking at the small scarlet below her thumb nail,"thanks, I haven't felt safe for a while, really." Rocky set her chin onto her kneecap. "We are going to your home?"

"Yeah, you can stay at mine for tonight..." His brow furrowed at a sudden thought, and he hesitated. "Unless you'd rather not..." Louis glanced at her, prepared to change course if she didn't want to stay with him. His blue eyes looked worried that his offer would be denied. But he wouldn't worry too much about it. Rocky just... Intrigued him? Yeah, intrigued him.

"Thanks Lou it's much appreciated." A nickname rolled off her tongue casually, not thinking much of it. Raquel fiddled with ending strands of her hair mindlessly as she awaited for their arrival to Louis' residence. As the Englishman continued to drive, rainfall began, pitter pattering off the windshields as the vehicle rolled on through.[/sub]

Louis nodded in reply as he finally pulled up at the Vineyard complexes. Easing down the drive, he sighed, pausing as he parked in his usual spot and glancing at Rocky as he turned off his car. "Why are you so sure you can trust me," he suddenly questioned, pocketing his keys as he slipped out, rushing to open her door for her before she could do it herself, not caring about the rain falling onto him the second he stepped out. His blue gaze bore into her, staring down at her as he waited patiently for her to exit the idle vehicle. "I could be some creep or murderer." he smiled to himself, but it slowly vanished. He was concerned, because she was trusting him, a stranger. If she had ended up in the wrong hands, he knew it wouldn't have gone down well. He was glad she hadn't.
