Jolene pushed her gray tinged ears forward, hearing Kohl's whine. She hurried closer, making out the forms of three different beings. She meowed at Abram and Keely, trottng over to sniff at Kohl's legs.

Keely hesitated, before she slowly reached out for is hand, slipping her small, really cold hand into his. "But I don't care if my legs fall off." She mumbled, slowly easing into a standing position. "I just want to make a snow fort and live out here." She grumbled to herself, turning her attention onto Abram. She offered a sheepish smile, before slipping her hand away, returning it to her sweater's pockets.

Abram helped pull her to her feet, flashing her a quick smile. Hearing a soft meow followed by another low whine from Kohl he glanced down to see the husky mutt scrambling around to the other side of the two humans, putting them between him and the cat trotting towards them.
"How the hell do you make a snow fort?" He asked curiously, scuffing a foot in the snow. "I mean, I don't really see the point. Cold, no running water, no radio." He flashed her a quick, crooked smile, then huffed in exasperation when he practically tripped over Kohl hiding behind his legs, circling warily to keep away from the cat. "Settle down, it's not going to hurt you." HE sighed, reaching down to grab the dog's head between his hands, bending over until his forehead rested on the top of the dog's head. Kohl went totally still except for a faint tremor, and a faint muffled snort. Abram murmured a few more soft words to him, then straightened, giving his head a playful shake. The big dog responded by grabbing one of Abram's wrists, holding on for just a second with a growl.

A soft giggle escaped keely's lips as she watched master and dog play with each other. "I'll show you! Wanna try?!" She asked hopefully, widening he reyes, and clasping her hands together.

Jolene padded after the dog, fluffing her fur out. "Jolene!" Jessie called from the infirmary "Come here pretty girl, time to come inside." the redhead looked around for her cat as she stood in the doorway. "Here kitty kitty kitty." she called.

[here for a tiny bit. I've gotta go at 5pm to get ready for my last Christmas band concert. But I'll be poofy because I'm drawing a horse for someone on DeviantArt.]

Cat was at a loss for words, even though her mind was reeling. She felt sick to her stomach after listening to Ever's story. "I'm so sorry. No one deserves that, especially you." She pretty much whimpered, leaning over and hugging Ever again. "Is your uncle still alive?" Cat asked in a whisper. Cat loved kids and she wasn't cool with such treatment towards little innocent children. She shifted uncomfortably, dark eyes looking troubled. The mood was melancholy and the air in the room seemed to have gained a dimmer feeling. "Ever, he won't ever touch you again, you know that right?" She suddenly asked, hoping that the girl wasn't living in fear.
Rivers stared seriously at Jordan. "I don't understand? Okay, fine, then how about it? You can explain to me," She hissed, already past desperate to get the man to just go the heck home. She sat down on the side of the desolate road across from where he was. I'll just stay here. She knew simply leaving him was beyond questioning, since she wouldn't be able to live with herself knowing she 1) cast him out the living room and 2) left him there when she could have done something, if he got hurt somehow someway.

Jordan shrugged and looked away from Rivers, running a rough hand through his hair. He sucked in a lot of breath and his face, hollow of emotion or expressions, was angled so that his eyes could stare easily at the snow beneath him. He didn't know this girl and he didn't feel like throwing his whole life story at her; he didn't want pity, either. He just continuously sat there, until finally he looked up, having calmed down. "You know what?" He didn't know if he'd meant for this to be rude, but an edge of a hiss crept behind his words. "Fine." He got up and started back to the facility, giving up. Maybe when they got back she'd leave him alone, then.
Jess stared at Like a Gentleman from where he was helping Rhys unload her horses. He rubbed the buckskin's golden neck and examined him, feeling his legs for a moment and picking up one of his hooves. He dusted a bit of snow and dirt and grass out the frog and then dropped his foot, rubbing the horse's shoulder and looking at Rhys. He thought on the retainer and 50-50 deal. He furrowed his eyebrows and thought for a moment, then nodded. "Sure, if you're sure you wanna." He looked back at Gent with kinked brows. "How long have you had this pretty fella?" He questioned as he gripped the lead rope tight, heading for the stables as she'd asked.
