Jessie was putting Miguel's files in the very bottom drawer of her tall filing cabinet. It was where she kept records of the late jockey's and other facility members. The young vet's file was in that drawer as well, along with Lake's. She sighed, a few tears dropping onto the file. She hastily wiped them away so they wouldn't stain the manilla folder before opening it to see if she could find a number she could trace back to his mother in Mexico. She found one and scribbled it down on small business card before slipping it in her pocket and putting the file away, the last thing she saw before closing it being Miguel's death certificate. She looked over behind her desk where little Zoey was sleeping. The little babe would never get to see her Uncle Miguel again.

But I don't think Miguel did. Like in Story's posts it says that Aiden checked all the dead people from the crashes. and Miguel didn't have his cross necklace on, or his green card. And then when he went to the cras scene he found Miguel's wallet a good ways away from the crash, with his green card in it

Abram frowned and crouched, noticing the state her clothes were in from the melted snow. He didn't particularly like how she sounded either. It brought back memories he'd rather not deal with, dark places he'd been in his own head that he still struggled to stay out of. "Want to talk about it?" He asked quietly, leaving the it up to her. Whatever was bothering her, whatever had happened.
Kohl approached slowly behind him, forcing his muzzle underneath Abram's hand until the man automatically rubbed the base of his ears and stroked the top of his head. The husky mutt's piercing blue eyes studied the sitting girl curiously, his plumed tail waving slowly behind him. Abram through his arm over the big mutt's neck, leaning lightly against his strong side, digging his fingers into the thick white and black ruff and giving him a gently, playful shake that made the cheap tag on his collar clink.

Ethan Ethan sighed, trying to think of a name for Flourish's colt still. He had plopped down in the hay and was wiggling his toes under the sock that was pulled tight over his yellow cast. He was tired of the leg long cast that entrapped his leg and foot, it only reminded him of the racing accident that made Dancer die. He looked over at the colt, which was snuggled in the straw, to see if he could think of a name. "Honorary Flourish? Honor? Flourishing Vortex after your daddy? Um...This Time It Counts?" he ran a hand through his hair tiredly "I'll think of something."
Jessica Jessie let Jolene outside for a little while, thinking the cat needed some fresh air. The medic closed the door after the cat was out and turned back to Zoey. "Have a nice nap sweetie?" She said in a light, cheerful voice. The little baby just frowned at her momma, blue eyes staring into her mother's identical colored eyes. Zoey's was starting to darken as well, turning from a light strawberry blonde and darkening closer to her mother's red hair every day it seemed. "Are you going to be a redheaded baby? Huh? Are you honey?" Jessie said as she put Zoey on her hip and used the key dangling on the long chain around her neck to open the top filing cabinet drawer.

Keely gave a shrug. "I don't know. And I don't wanna bother you." She murmered, glancing back down at her hands. She hesitantly glanced at Kohl with a soft sigh.

Jolene Jolene fluffed up her fur as she looked around outside. She spotted two shapes and began hopping through the snow towards them, trying to hold her tail out of the snow. She didn't see the dog yet, her Siamese blue eyes intent on the humans she could hear talking.

"C'mon." Abram offered her a hand. "At least come walk with me and get moving before your legs fall off." He tried to keep his voice light and teasing, giving Kohl a slight shove to make the husky give him some room. The mutli-colored mutt gave a soft woof and moved away, looking around the wood wall his owner talked to the vaguely familiar woman. His piercing eyes settled on the distant feline form moving towards them and his ears drooped, tail lowering as he let out a low whine. Abram glanced away from Keely and back over his shoulder, giving a soft sigh.
"Seriously Kohl? It's an cat. I'm surprised you're not afraid of your own shadow." He muttered softly. It always startled him how agressive the big dog could be towards people and dogs, but other animals he tended to give a wide berth.
