Tate's eyes never really focused on Anne, already sealing as he fell further and further into slumber. They screwed up suddenly at the piercing noise, to him, of another student. He didn't react now. Only tugging the blankets higher up, draping it over half his cranium so he wouldn't have to hear. His arms fell from around Anne's body to pull up against his own and drag a pillow closer to him.

Ladd couldn't understand Navajo's display of aggression. In an apologetic gesture he pinned his ears and stepped back a few paces, slowly. He whickered quietly beneath his breath and snorted. He hadn't meant to scare, even if that's what he'd done, it hadn't been intentional. He wished he could recant his actions. Ladd snorted a second time.

Navajo looked at him distrustfully, his head craned at an odd angle so he could watch him out of the corner of his eye. The colt snorted in response; his hot breath visible in the chilled air. After a few long moments of staring, he lowered his head submissively, snorting once more before letting his ears relax. He hesitantly stretched his nose out to touch the soft velvet to Ladd's own, one ear perked and the other flopped to the side.

Ladd's hooves carried him in a jolly little dance in place at Navajo's acceptance. Perhaps Ladd, having earned the stupid nickname The Badd Ladd, wasn't so bad after all. When it came to others his kind at least. He pivoted his ears forth and erected his head to nuzzle along the crest of Navajo's. His furry lips mouthed on the colt's ears, a soft noise bubbling from his chest cavity and in the back of his throat all the while.

Tate grumbled as Anne shifted on the olden mattress. He was so tired, a characteristic not commonly his. Normally he was quite the nocturnal one. He held Anne like she basically requested by huddling closer. In a bad mood now that Cam spoke again, loudly, his brows knit and he sat up. "Shut up you pretentious queen."
