Raphael grunted, giving the wolf a single nod. In one smooth movement he'd lifted Hope of the ground, a single look telling her not to argue. He was still pissed that he'd been unable to save her and he sighed, turning to Clary. "We'll need a portal back to the institute," he murmured. He shifted; Hope really weighed nothing to him, and it worried him slightly. But wait - what the hell? Raphael - worrying about someone? How was that even possible? He was Raphael; cold-hearted. He'd seen Hope's belief of his cruelty in her eyes earlier in the day, when she'd first asked for his help. With a grunt, he began trudging towards Clary; he knew that she'd be worried, but he wasn't sure that Hope was ready to face her mother. Clary had traded her daughter over, after all. He sighed again.

Hope was about to protest when she saw the look in Raphael's eyes and she shut up. Instead of opening her mouth she simply pressed her face into his shoulder for comfort. He was right. She didn't want to face her mom or Luka. He must of known what was happening and he hadn't told her. They told each other everything. She sighed, relaxing in Raphael's arms, wondering why the hell she was relaxing. Shouldn't she have been fighting against h and proving her strength? She shook her head and she peered over his shoulder,"Help."she mouthed to Quinn, smiling slightly. She still wanted to laugh. She found it quite funny.

Quinn smiled, slowly trailing after Hope. Raphael carried her lightly as he finally reached Clary. "A portal, please," he grunted, amber eyes narrowing again. "She's hurt and needs attention. Please, can you make a portal to the institute?" His voice was soft, coaxing; he knew that Clary was probably panicking, but he didn't have time to care. Hope was hurt, and that was his number one priority. He paused, glancing over at the pouting and pissy form of Ren.

Hope glanced at Ren and immediately she felt guilty, but that feeling didn't last long. When she looked at her mother her fury erupted again. She buried her face in Raphael's shoulder again, hiding the tears that slid down her cheeks. She didn't want anyone to see her vulnerable or weak especially the Downworlder.
Clary nodded and started to draw the portal rune once more. It didn't take her long. Not long at all. As soon as the portal materialized, she stepped through. She couldn't face Hope yet. She just couldn't.

Raphael stepped through the portal, tensing up in expectation of the vertigo that came with phase-traveling. Strangely, nothing happened; he felt the air rushing by, the gradual increase in sound as everything caught up to him. He grunted, tightened his hold on Hope, and turned away from the institute. He wasn't taking her there - no way. It housed her mother, and Raphael knew that Hope wasn't in the mood to deal with them now. He glanced at Quinn, eyes narrowed. The wolf got his message and gave a short nod, turning and bolting off. Raphael half-expected Jace to attack him in an attempt to get to his daughter, but in that instant, Raphael knew he'd do anything in his power to keep her away from them.
He gave a soft sigh, beginning the walk towards his apartment.

Hope sighed as she watched Quinn take off,"Where we going? I really need and iratze."she asked, softly. Her eyes wandered to her father and was shock to see his stare was on her. Not Luka or Clary. Just her,"Daddy."she whispered and something seemed to pass through them and Jace nodded. She watched as her father turned and headed inside in the institute. Hope knew exactly where he was going. To the training room. He would get his anger out and than go and talk to Claey about what happened and why Hope had been in the Fair Folk castle in the first place.
Ren followed after Jace, his eyes cold and hard. He hated that he not been the one to save her.

"To my home," Raphael said softly. "I will assist you in drawing the healing runes to the best of my ability. I am guessing you do not want to deal with what is going to happen in that institute, considering the fact of what's just happened. I will not harm you." Raphael swiveled his head, eyes narrowed as his gaze followed Ren quietly. He didn't trust the man; from what he could see, his was volatile and furious, and Raphael was hesitant to bring Hope anywhere near someone like that at the moment. Raphael's step was smooth and easy, and he did his best not to jostle his charge. Within a few moments, they'd reached his apartment.

Hope nodded,"Thanks."she murmured. At that moment she could careless whether or not she was home. All she wanted was the rune. Her eyes glazed as soon as the pain came crashing down over her, she whimpered and curled closer to Raphael. Like before she could careless whether or not who she was as long as she got the darn rune.

Raphael gave a grunt when he shifted Hope gently so that he could hold her with one arm as he reached into his back pocket, searching for his keys. He fumbled, managed to unlock the door, and kicked it open with one booted foot. He carried Hope into the room, gently placing her on the Lazyboy recliner. "Hold on," he sighed, returning to close and lock the door. He fetched her a glass of water and a few Advil, though he knew she'd need a healing rune. "Do you have a steele?" he asked with a grunt, placing the water and medicine before her. "I might have one if you don't, but I have no idea where it'd be."

Hope waved the pills and water off,"Huh?"she asked and than she nodded,"Yeah. Of course. I always have my Steele."she said, taking her Steele out of its stealth that was placed on her thigh. She gently began to carve the rune into her heel. After she was done with that one she started to draw one on her chest. "Can you draw one on my back?"she asked, offering him her Steele. Her Steele was special to her. It had been given to her by her mom who had gotten it from her mom. "Why don't you use runes? They're what keeps us a part. They're what make us special."she asked, curious.
