When the roleplays were on the forums.

So today I randomly went on the WCF and it's so weird. Remember when there was a ton of horse ranch roleplays? There's absolutely none now. None of the roleplays are original or have good designs, really, and the members are all a lot younger than the main age group used to be. It's also the "forum anniversary", and I guess it's been four years since it was created. xD There's a lot of threads that are all about forum memories, which I thought were pretty cool.

So I got to thinking, and I thought it would be fun to just like reminisce about Wasatch and Cross when they were on the WCF. And like, what your username was, who your characters were, how you found out about Wasatch/Cross, who you roleplayed with the most, stuff like that.

My username there was Mistycreek*, which is obviously how I got my nickname Misty. xD I remember joining Wasatch in February 2010, I think, and it was like version 3 or something, I can't remember. My first character was this insane twelve-year-old named Charlotte/Charley, and she had like crazy brown hair and this wild paint horse with blue eyes that she'd ran away on and fallen off and broken her arm. o3o I remember roleplaying with Horse, and I remember Amber had this Ty character that I would roleplay with, I think. x3 I don't think I roleplayed specifically with Story at that time, but I do remember her characters and stuff. I also had Mallory, Willow, Amelia, and several horse characters at some point. I think I like went inactive or something... Idk.

I found Wasatch because I remember posting a drawing of Secretariat and entering it in an art contest that Horse had, and then we got to talking about horses and I ended up joining her roleplay. ^^ I also remember roleplaying with someone that had this girl who owned a dog and her character wanted to be a vet, and I can't remember who it was. I want to say the girl was Scottish or Irish and had a lot of siblings or something. I can't remember which character it was, but I know she got mad at my character, Charley, because Charley wouldn't let her look at her broken arm or something. xDD

I'm pretty sure I was talking about Wasatch to my best friend, Gentlebrook, on a thread on the WCF and Cloudy was a member of this other thread, so then I told her about Wasatch and she joined. :3 I remember roleplaying with her when in real life, I was at Gentlebrook's house and it was after horse camp and there was a tornado warning and we were really scared. Hahah I dunno how I remember that but I do.

I remember when Story made Cross on there, and I believe I was one of the people who helped come up with the name. I remember reading the threads, but I don't think I ever joined. I also remember reading this one argument that broke out there from this one Fox girl or something. But yeah, I don't think I specifically joined, not really sure why.

Then I got sick of being addicted to the forums, so I decided to quit and just not say anything because most of my own roleplays/threads were dying out, and I don't think my characters were really a part of anything at Wasatch, and I think Horse had already left but then she came back. I remember coming back to the WCF right around the time Story left, because I remember seeing her goodbye thread, and then I remember talking with Leo, Heather, Cloudy, maybe Amber, and Goldie at Goldie's ranch roleplay that she'd made. I eventually found this place, though I really can't remember how. I didn't join for several months, not sure why, but then I finally did. And yeah.

Sorry that was really long but it was fun remembering all of that. I think it would be fun to read other people's stories, too. :3 So do go ahead and share if you'd like. ^^

I don't remember when I drifted into Cross, but I remember my Irish character, Lindsay, who died such a tragic death xD I remember her horses, Wrath of the Lich King and Burning Crusade, lol, nicknamed King and Cruz. And then we had Valentine Aurorea, my precious, who had his horse Spirit and his other horse Molly xD He and Dez got engaged on my roleplay that I made, Aurorea Racing Facility [x3] and Dez was pregnant with twins lol

When most of y'all left the WCF, I stayed :3 I'm still there though I drift between here and there</sub>

<sub>My screen name was The Storyteller, which earned me the nickname 'Story' which many people on other sites call me still.

My roleplays were actually quite successful. I had several that made it big, from a cruise-gone-wrong, to a boarding school, to a not very successful Clan (FrayClan), and eventually to Cross. The first horse roleplay that I was part of was Tangleflame's North Montana Ranch, where I had Ryan Wolf, who eventually married Tangle's character named Kelpie (yes, like the dog breed //shrugs) and that's where Callie and Phantom were created as well. Then, after reading Laura Hillenbrand's Seabiscuit, I became interested in jockeys and so I made Aiden Cross and Shadow Hunter.

I joined Wasatch January 17th, 2010 with Aiden Cross and Shadow Hunter, Ryan Wolf, Phantom, and Callie. Within a week of joining, Aiden had his accident and my characters were quickly involved with Hawkflower's characters, where Aiden had his problems and was a bitter little man. He dated Jessie for a time and there was a lot of Skya-Aiden drama, too. Eventually, things kind of dwindled down and April 25th, 2010, I created Cross Thoroughbred Racing Facility. Admittedly, part of it was because I didn't want to end the Manny-Aiden friendship thing when Hawk felt that Manny no longer belonged at Wasatch.

Cross became something special to me. I eventually created Eddie "The Saint" Apparel, the flirty, cocky fellow who everyone was crushing on. He had his accident and was temporarily paralyzed due to swelling around the spinal cords. It was all just an amazing experience and I'm so glad that we got to do this.

I eventually quit the forums but joined when this site was opened, reopening Cross with a name change from Eddie to Adam Apparel.

There's been drama and fun and I'm so glad we've been together. I'm sorry for any fights and I'm grateful that you're my friends on here. Thank you.

<sub>I joined WCF when I was a puny little sixth grader. I'm starting high school this next year as a sophmore... It's weird how time flies.

Anyway, it was Alyssa, if any of you remember her, who got me into warriors. I still love the first ark [whoever many books now, they suck... Only the first I liked] anyway, I found the site when day when I was really bored. I joined as Horseblaze. That was sometime in 2009, I can't remember.

After two weeks of joining, I started seventh grade. I had this awesome teacher that inspired me to write. I was awful at first, but soon I discovered role-playing. I'd always had this dream to have my own ranch, full of wild horses and cowboys and boots and hay and saddle soap. I decided to make an RP about it.

That was when RPing had first started on the forums. [if I do say so myself, it was one of the first horse rp's ;] Anyway, it was a rocky start, mainly me and some other person, again, can't remember.

But after about 6 months, it exploded. We'd have like, 100 pages in a day. I remember Ash, and Nell, and Amber, and Eli and Minnie and all of the drama with Nell and Mark and Jake and Eli and Minnie and that french girl. I remember Rhett with all of his puppy love, and Ash as she struggled with the stallions. I miss it. I think the main reason I hate to RP at Wasatch now, is because it isn't the same as back then. I need to change that.

I had a lot of other RP's. A clan, Gingerclan, where my character refused to die, a few others, I really can't remember. But anyway, after Wasatch's climax was over, and it was dwindling to an end, I joined Cross. I was a little hesitant at first, I remember being sad that Wasatch wasn't as popular, even a little jealous. I was a weirdo, but anyway, Cross grew my love of racing even more. I'd always loved it, and I learned a lot about the industry, [and really badly wanted to be a jockey, darn genetics.] I had Sadie and Nessie, and remember Sadie and Tugs?

WCF really fostered me in writing, and in art. I don't think I would have an interest in either now if it weren't for those forums. I recall how immature I was back then, and how much I've grown... It's weird, surreal almost.</sub>

When Frayclan started dying I started stalking Story and the others. I saw Wasatch and didn't join. But I joined cross when it was rather new. I had little irish Bree and Devin with Tiny Dancer and Fractured Melody. Bree grew really close to Shadow, and then she became friends with Josiah. He died, and she grew close to Manny(suprisingly). But then she left and she grww close to Chris(leo's charrie) Cloudy made her rp. And then Chris and Bree got engaged, and she grew close to Dez and yeah...}
