okay I think I understand now for the most part
blah
Jax's lean frame entered the dining hall; he was accompanied by no one, bright eyes sweeping across the area. His eyes found Faye's and his face broke into a toothy grin. No hello, no wave, he just observed her. His smile faded to a subconscious smirk as his gaze trailed to Reese. He raised on brow underneath his hair, the symbol embroidered on his black attire a picture of Nyx's Chariot.

Faye glared at the man she ran into, resisting the urge to flip him the bird. The third former turned and grabbed a tray, piling food on top before she headed for her usual booth to wait for her friend, Reese.

Jax followed Faye to the booth. He towered over her even more, a cocky smile evident. "That your friend? Never seen her around before," he licked his lips for emphasis, before chuckling to himself. He hovered over her, neck inclined so he could meet her eyes with his own.

Reese turned, food resting on her tray, and spotted Jax. She arched an eyebrow. "This the guy you ran into, Faye?" She asked, sweeping her auburn waves behind her shoulders so that her fourth former emblem could be seen. She had transferred at the beginning of the school year from the Nashville House of Night after her parents moved to Tulsa. "I'm Reese." She stuck her hand out to shake "You are...?"

Jax's lips molded into a rather cocky, self-obsessed toothy grin. "She talked about me? What'd she say? I'm the sexiest guy she's ever met, correct? Or something along those lines," he glanced over at Faye, one eyebrow higher than the other. Then he glanced down at the hand, wide smile still in tact. "Jax is the name," he replied, taking a moment before his large hand enveloped hers. His blue eyes gleamed underneath dark hair. Never in his life had his hair been long, but since he'd been Chosen, he had grown it out and liked it this way. His mark was able to be seen beyond the mane, too.
"Ey, Jax, quit trying to get some pussy and come sit down!" a voice called from a table in the distance. The male's head turned upon his lanky, tall figure, craned to better see who had called him. Eros Ruth was watching the two closely, and Jax chuckled.
"Fuck off, Eros," he shot back to the sixth former. He then turned back and studied Reese's embroidered symbol. "Fourth former, eh? I always liked messing with the purity that is underclassmen," he slyly commented, tilting his head to the side. His hair fell a little out of his left eye as he did so.

Reese raised her eyebrow at him again. "Huh. Well what purity is left, you can try and have fun with." she said in a dull tone, sitting down across from Faye. She had a nagging southern accent that made her words tilt. "And Faye told me you were the ass that knocked her down in the hallways." She looked him up and down. "You do look like an butt. A pretty one, but still an ass." She put a forkful of pot pie and put it in her mouth, her sharp teeth glinting in the soft light of the dining hall. Her sharp blue eyes looked him over a bit while she chewed and she flicked her bangs out of her eyes so she could see him better. She then looked at Faye and shrugged again.

"You think I'm pretty?" Blue eyes gleaming, he glanced between the two before backing up. "Well, see you two around, Faye and Reese." Jax walked over to the line, grabbing his food and then joining his gang at their table. He glanced over at the girls once or twice with the hint of a smirk, eyes roving between the two. Eros talked endlessly to the fifth former; being a sixth former himself, Eros was very nervous about the Change and that his body would reject it, but he refused to let it show.

[xD imma say it was dinner instead of lunch]
"Gross." Reese mumbled. She finished her food and sighed happily before stretching. "I'm heading back to my room to study some. See ya later Faye." she said as she picked up her tray, threw away her trash, and headed outside. She took a deep breath in, enjoying the night air. She looked up to the sky, counting the constallations she knew on her fingers. "Orion, Little Dipper, Big Dipper..." she mummbled.

hehe I think I found the perfect pic for Jax
Jax watched Reese leave, eating his food slowly. When he finished he followed her outside without even telling Eros he was leaving, taking slow steps that mirrored hers. Seeing her in the distance, he approached and stood next to her. "You know if I said I wasn't an ass, I'd be totally wrong. But it doesn't mean I can't be decent company when I feel like," he smirked and stared up at the sky. "I like how night skies look, with the stars and all. But I don't know a single shit about constellations, and I definitely don't know jack about planets. All I know is those stars are big balls of gas or something like that,"

Reese looked over and nodded. "Yeah, something like that." She heard a mew and looked down to see her cat, Twang, at her feet. "Hello pretty boy!" she said and scooped the naked cat up. Twang was a hairless cat, which was good because Reese was allergic to cat hair.
