[Hey guys! :3 Hey, Story, just wondering...what does Aiden think about Lynn? ^^ I'm not going to meta game or whatever, heh, just wondered. Because she's going to have some major brain issues...no lie...poor Lynn. >:-{} Going to dinner...will be back later sometime.]
Hay whispered against hay and horses softly whickered inside the stables as Lynn walked inside them for the first time in several months. The small eighteen-year-old jockey had spent the past few months in the hospital recovering from a nasty fall and kick to the head and shoulder, although she herself didn't know the exact reason why she had ended up in the hospital. In fact, Lynn could barely recall anything, and her head was still in a bit of a whirl. If she had let the doctors know this, she might not have been released. But she was anxious to get out of the hospital. She didn't realize the amount of damage her brain had taken, only that the nurses had told her she'd suffered a concussion, and that was the reason for the black sunglasses on her face. Bright lights, or even any lights, still hurt her head. Like many concussion victims, Lynn now was supposed to wear sunglasses everywhere, in hopes that it would soothe her eyes and brain faster. She'd also sprained her left shoulder, but that had begun to heal, and she only had to wear a sling for a week or so now.
A dappled gray head appeared above a stall down the aisle. It was the face of Lynn's Thoroughbred mare, Summer Starrlight. Lynn was not sure exactly what happened that night two months ago, only that she must have fell off of her horse, because Aiden had found her on the ground. Someone had taken care of Starr. He had taken care of her, but eventually it was decided that she needed to go to the hospital. Aiden. She hadn't seen him, or anyone from Cross, in a while. She didn't quite remember everything, or really anything. The nurse had told her pieces of it, and she tried to place it together, but it had given her a headache. So she felt like she hadn't spoken to her friends in such a long time. It had to have been longer than two months. If it was even two months. Lynn was unsure. Time was one of the things she'd struggled with in the hospital, and that certainly hadn't changed now.
Starr whinnied softly, tossing her head. She hadn't forgotten her owner, after all. The gray mare snorted as Lynn rubbed her hand against her nose. A small smile formed on Lynn's face as her horse both recognized her and seemed happy to see her. It seems natural. Well, it was natural. After all, Starr was her horse. She always was happy to see Lynn. But...that didn't sound right. Lynn frowned slightly, feeling as if she was forgetting something. She quickly lost her confused thought in the jumble of everything else going on in her mind, and it was replaced by the present. Starr had stuck her nose into Lynn's jacket pocket, looking for a handout. Lynn laughed lightly, and pulled out a bit of a carrot. Starr took it right out of her hand.

Sadie nodded, stuffing her hands in her jean pockets. Her forehead creased a little as she glanced at over at the palomino stallion, the colts, and the cherry bay. "Yeah, sure." She chirped softly, voice light and airy. She closed the stall door of Nessie and made sure it was locked, the jockey had finally found a lock the mare couldn't undo. The jockey stretched a little before stifling a yawn with her hand. She still had to go running, but helping to feed Adam's horses seemed like the better option. Sadie didn't like running, she could only handle a few miles, and it just wasn't fun. She promised herself she would go later, though. She bit her lip for a few moments, it was a bad habit she had had forever.

"C'mon, don't bite those pretty lips." Adam chided as if reading her mind. He headed out for the feed room in the back, allowing Sadie to enter first before opening up one of the sealed containers of feed. Everything had been switched to more horse-proof containers in light of Nessie's adventure in the tack room. It would be horrible for a horse to be lost just because they were willing to sneak some extra food and were clever enough to leave their stall and get into the feed room. The door also now had a spring system so that it would slowly close behind anyone that entered, making it so that no one could forget to close the door.
Adam sifted out the correct amount of oats for Gallant Marines's container and then Tremolo's as well. Tremolo was known to become a bit nippy around meal times and Adam would prefer dealing with him than having Sadie encounter his mealtime 'tude. "Grab Zeph's and PV's, please."
Aiden glanced up from where he was grooming Shadow's coat out. His expression, formerly preoccupied now smoothed out into a grin. "Hey, Lynn! How're you doing?" He stopped moving the brush unconsciously, though Shadow didn't seem to notice at the moment. The satiny-coated stallion had dozed off, head drooping and one hoof cocked in contentment. Aiden felt a guilty pang, all but able to feel the confusion that whirled through Lynn's mind. He was better at reading those beautiful eyes than she'd ever realize.
[Mmm...I think there's a chance for them. XD]

Sadie made a face at him at the comment as she slid into feed room. "Alright." She murmured as she measured out both of the colt's feed. She pulled the correct amount of feed into two different buckets before glancing at Adam to see if he was done. She grabbed to the two handled, eyebrows raised faintly as she slid out of the feed room and made her way down to colts' stalls. She slid into PV's stall, crooning to the dark bay splash as she filled his feeder with oats.

[It's fine. Hello, Amber. If you wish to chat, I can go to the chatroom.]
The moment that Sadie entered his stall, Paranormal Vortex let out a soft, throaty nicker and sidled on up to her. He pushed his nose straight into her side, eyes closed as he brushed his muzzle against her. He was known to become incredibly sweet and even clingy the moment food was brought out. His blue eyes would soften and he'd complicate things, pushing his nose in early and getting in the way. He was just being a typical male though, just eager to eat.

Sadie brushed a hand gently against the colt's face. She grinned softly and moved his forelock out of his eyes as she seemed to study the little white bit in it. She kissed him on the nose before sliding out of the stall and picking up Zeph's bucket. She slid paused outside the Santa Anita Derby winner's stall for a moment, a smile playing on her lips. "You're a good boy, aren'tcha?" She crooned as she entered the stall. She patted him once before filling his feeder.
