Adam humored Sadie with a small kiss before easing back. "Yeah, vitamins. If you're watching what you eat and...stuff...you're not keeping all of the nutrients your body needs. Weakens your bones and immune system." That could explain why Adam had been so prone to sickness. With his bulimia, he wasn't keeping food and the nutrients his body was starved of.
Aiden gazed calmly at Lynn, studying her expression for a long while. "Perhaps you should return to the bunkhouse and sit down for a little bit. You don't look too well, Lynn." He said seriously, gently taking her arm. "C'mon, I'll make sure you get back there safely," He said sincerely, waiting for her permission to go back with him. He wasn't going to make her if she didn't want to, but he really was concerned. Concussions could be nasty. He'd once experienced symptoms months after his own accident.

BJ meandered into the stables, whistling softly to himself. He too had found more luck when trying to get a good mount, and had won several major races in the past months. He'd also gotten two more horses, Ragtag Blues and Pinstripes Patriot. His black filly, Stroke of Midnight, had finally begun to work out on the practice racetrack, and he expected her to begin racing in the following fall or spring. A playful smile crossed his face as he approached Rags' stall. The dusty chestnut stallion nickered, shaking his head up and down. BJ ran his hand across his horse's nose affectionately. The two had bonded almost instantly. Farther down the aisle, Mid and Patriot whinnied, wanting some attention too.
Lynn gazed back at him faintly, attempting a reassuring smile with no success. "Alright," she agreed quietly. "Thank you, Aiden." She leaned against his arm slightly, walking with him back to the bunkhouse. She'd wanted to visit the horses a bit longer and maybe groom Starr, but her plans had been forgotten with her headache.

Sadie's eyebrows furrowed for a heartbeat before her expression cleared. She didn't really eat the best food, didn't really know what was really good for her or not, and she shrugged slightly, so maybe that was why she was sluggish this morning. "I'll go pick some up some time." She murmured, she blinked away most of grogginess, and was already feeling more awake. A morning jog would finish the job, but she really didn't want to go.

Miguel approached Adam timidly, feeling awkward for intruding on his moment with Sadie. He cleared his throat awkwardly and spoke when the jockey looked up, eyebrows raised expectantly. He spoke rapidly in Spanish out of being nervous, never meeting Sadie's eyes. "Adán, debo tomar Vortex Paranormal salir a la pista para usted?*"
Adam gave an easy grin to Miguel in response, nodding before returning his attention to Sadie with warmth in his eyes. "You had better do that. Are you heading to the racetrack today to get any mounts or...what's your plan?" Adam had permitted Miguel to take Paranormal Vortex to the practice track, which was what Miguel had inquired about in the first place.
Miguel promptly turned, heading out to grab the colt's tack. On the way to the tack room though, he stopped to talk to BJ. This time, he was less nervous, having met BJ and spoken to him once or twice before. He only spoke in Spanish around the others when he was nervous or overcome with emotion and couldn't express himself any better. "Are you taking any of your horses to the track?"

BJ grinned down the aisle at his other two horses, shaking his head. "You guys," he crooned, rubbing Rags under his forelock. The stallion closed his eyes contentedly, resting his nose on the jockey's shoulder. "So impatient." BJ finished. "Hey Rags, do you want your breakfast? Huh?" He raised an eyebrow, shaking the stallion's feed bucket. Rags jerked his head up, tossing it up and down once more. He whickered impatiently. Mid squealed down the aisle, and Patriot whinnied. BJ laughed, and stepped into his horse's stall, clucking his tongue so that Rags moved out of the way. He needn't ask, the horse was quite a gentlemen although affectionate, and politely stepped to the other side of his stall. Rags' ears were pricked and eyes alert, ready for his breakfast. BJ tossed the feed into his trough.
BJ stepped out of Rags' stall and offered Miguel a friendly smile. "Yes, I'll be working Patriot first, and then probably Mid or Rags later." He nodded his head to the big cherry bay stallion down the aisle. "Are you?"
Lynn had reached the bunkhouse with Aiden, and sunk into the large couch. She closed her eyes briefly, rubbing her fingers on her temple. She then gazed up at Aiden. "Thanks," she said warmly.

Sadie gazed curiously at the Mexican jockey, not understanding anything he said. She glanced at Adam before shrugging. "Uh... Yeah, I'm going to the racetrack." She said quietly, rubbing her forehead. She had decided she was going to take a lazy day, but she might as well go to the racetrack. She pulled her hair out and ran a hand though it before pulling it back again in a ponytail instead of a braid.

[Ahaha, Adam's bound to have picked up some Spanish, what with practically being raised by the grooms and jockeys at Del Mar Racetrack.]
Miguel dipped his head in response. "I am. Adam allowed me to take the yearling, Paranormal Vortex, out. He's still training, so it would be good for him to have...incentive to run better." He had to pause to think of a good word to use. He was pretty darn close to fluent in English, but sometimes word choice was a hassle. "Are things going well for your career?" He inquired politely.
Adam nodded in response, pursing his lips. "I've got the day off for today. I'm just going to focus on conditioning Zephyr and training Tremolo a little. He's starting to lose that baby fat and fill out a bit. He hates being led around though." it was definitely something the little black frame overo colt would need to learn to accept. The spunky colt normally just balked and then refused to walk in a straight line, spacing out and paying attention to his surroundings instead.

Sadie nodded. "I need to go work a few colts for trainers, see if they actually like me." She said quietly, studying Adam's face for a moment. She tipped her head slightly, shifted, and stifled another yawn. She knew the horrors of halter training, she had yet to meet a horse that didn't like the halter and lead. She glanced down the way towards the exit. "I'll see you later then?" She said softly, glancing back at him.

"That's good," BJ nodded approvingly. "Yes, thank you. A few months ago, things were looking pretty low, but I've managed to pick up a few more mounts. Rags and Patriot have done a ton for me. Two more horses to ride can get you a long ways. You got a horse?" BJ asked politely. "Sorry, I've got to feed the other two," he said apologetically as he walked down the aisle, dipping his head to Miguel, and petting Mid, who nipped at him playfully when he gave her the feed. BJ then went to Patriot's stall, giving him his feed. The big cherry bay horse nickered, munching happily on his breakfast. "I'll leave you to it, big guy," BJ patted the horse's neck as he walked into the tack room. His tack was due for a good cleaning, anyways, so he decided to scrub it while his horses ate.
[Did you see my other post? Sorry, I've got to go. I'll check for replies in the morning.]
