Adam absently reached into a backpack that he'd placed on the hook outside of Celestial Zephyr's stall. He dug around until he found a pill bottle in the bottom, shaking out two pills and tossing them back without water. "First is at noon, the rest spread through the day," Adam explained quietly. "There's a two hour gap between two of the races. I'll come check on Zeph for a bit before I gotta go back." He responded, resting his head against the stall door. Celestial Zephyr pulled away, lipping at the edge of his water bucket but not drinking. He had little interest in bothering Adam at the moment.
Alexander had crashed hard after his accident. Due to the concussion, he probably should have had someone waking him every two hours to ask him a few questions to ensure that there was no further damage, but that wasn't the case. Anyone that tried to wake him would likely face a wrath unlike any other. His head had a dull ache to it, resonating through his skull now and then. His pale fingers absently probed his tender scalp, sliding effortlessly past a few sandy blonde locks as he walked down the stairs to make himself something quick for breakfast.

Sadie nodded slowly, crossing her arms across her chest before stifling a yawn. Her forehead creased and she ran a hand through her thick, golden hair when it fell into her eyes. She frowned for a split moment before her expression cleared. "Might come watch one, if you don't mind." She commented absently. She shifted her weight from foot to foot, seeming to be lost in thought for a moment. She wanted to race, at least, she thought she did. It was still something she was struggling with, but she didn't bring it up. The breif moments of peace from her fear of riding yesterday hadn't convinced her that it was a good idea. It was a good start, but still, she was still scared, and she'd been like that for months. How long did it take? Would she ever get back in the irons and compete in the sport she loved?

Okie dokie! Sorry I'm too lazy to type up another post lol Ever smiled as she hummed softly under her breath,"Hey there pretty girl. Ready to go?"she said, patting Devious's flank."I'm gonna miss you. Mom is gonna miss you. Yes, she is."she whispered as a tear slid down her cheek. She leaned against her mare, hugging her tightly. They had been through a lot together, Devious had been the one who finally got Ever's mind off her lost baby, Ever had been the one who nursed Devious back to health after her knee had been shattered, she hadn't let the doctor put her down, she had faith that Devious would fight it and survive, and she had done just that.
The jockey began to cry as she groomed out Devious's fur. The only upside to selling Devious was that her mother was buying her and Ever had been promised the first foal and she was going to a good home. She sighed as she began to prepare Devious for the Lon journey ahead of her.

Keely had made herself rather scarce over the past weeks,or rather months. She seemed to keep to herself, and avoid attention or conversation. Yet, when someone proceeded to talk to her, she happily agreed, though she wasn't one of the most...etertaining people you could say. She wasn't being unfriendly, she was just extremely shy and hesitant. The last few months had been good for her though, as she was now a healthly person physically, and she wasn't nearly as depressed as she once was.
At the moment, she was perched on the wooden fence of the pasture, swinging her skinny legs bck and forth, a soft smile hesitantly peeking up onto her lips. From the corner of her eyes, sh could see movement. Instinctively, e tilte her head to allow herself a better view. Her smile widened further on her rosy lips as she watched Skya and her horse. She looked up to the other woman, and if she wanted anyone to talk to her the most, it would be her. Her thin eyebrows slowly knitted together, her eyes following their movements. The only horses she had left were Fractured Melody and her foal. She missed Thing Two, View, and Rebbie, but knew that at some point she needed to get another horse. She would probably do that sometime the next day, but at the momet, was content to watch Skya. [Dev--wip]

Miguel entered the stables, dark hair ruffled up as if someone had been playing with his hair. He was talking softly in Spanish, voice nothing more than a husky murmur, though if one was actually close enough and paying attention, they'd hear that he was singing to himself. His dark eyes were rather bright and he seemed oddly exuberant as he walked along. When he spotted Ever, he trounced closer, holding out a silver chain gleefully. "Look what I have!" He exclaimed, not seeming to realize that Ever was crying and that he was interrupting something.
Adam furrowed his eyebrows, glancing toward Celestial Zephyr. "I can probably ask Alexander to check on Zeph then..." He mumbled without taking his eyes off of his horse. He was waiting for the painkillers to take the edge off of his headache. He eventually straightened up. "I'm taking Tremolo to the track for a quick breeze." He said quietly, taking one final look at Celestial Zephyr before heading toward the tack room to fetch the pretty colt's tack.

"Nevermind." Sadie mumbled and shrugged before watching him walk down the way. She sighed and grabbed a lead from the wall. She spent a moment untangling it and then hooked it to Sunkissed Lullaby's halter. She opened the stall door and lead the cherry bay filly out, murmuring something soothing under her breath as she wound her way out of the stables to bring the spunky thoroughbred out to the pasture. Lu walked calmly, just half a step behind Sadie. The filly's manners were good, and most of the time, she followed them.
But halfway to the pasture, the filly balked, ears flattening and she snorted. She shook her mane out and tugged at the lead. Sadie frowned and leaned back slightly. "Knock that off Lu." She reprimanded the filly, turning to continue on to the pasture, but Lu nipped at her, more harshly than before. Sadie yelped, eyes narrowed as she rubbed at her shoulder and turned to glare at the cherry bay. "What's gotten into you?"

Ever dried her tears, she wasn't one to cry in front of anyone anymore, not since rehab. She hated seeming weak."What?"she asked, ducking her head so she could wipe the last of her tears away. A smile made an appearance on her lips as she pulled herself together,"What?"she repeated, more excited than she had the first time. She glanced at the silver chain and than got back to work, putting boots on Devious and a horse blanket on Devious's back as well.
The jockey finished and dusted off her hands, she grabbed the halter and lead rope. It didn't take her long to halter Devious., not long at all. She patted Devious as she stepped out of the stall and faced Miguel, her eyebrows raised and a smile on her face.

"Trouble with the filly?" Aiden asked quietly from where he was walking Private Maiden around. The dapple gray mare snorted and let out a harsh snort in Sunkissed Lullaby's direction. Aiden pulled lightly on the lead to regain the mare's attention. Out of all of the mares that Aiden had ever known, she tended to be the most hormonal mare. She'd be all sweet one instant and then unbearable the next. She was a pretty good mom once her foal dropped but right up until that moment, she could be a nightmare. "Hey, shh. Don't do that," Aiden soothed to the mare, hoping to distract her from where LuLu was acting out.
"I have my father's Cross." Miguel responded, holding the silver Cross up to be investigated. "The police connected it from a robbery to my accident. I guess someone chanced upon my car and decided that they needed it more than I did." His joyful expression soured briefly before the smile returned. "After almost a year, I've got it back." He sounded pleased.

Stacy had once again fallen asleep in Miracle's stall. It had soon became morning and the light shined in. Miracle snorted as he awoke and stood up, shaking his coat. He looked down at Stacy and lipped her hair, bored. Stacy giggled in her sleep and pushed Miracle away. "Five more minutes Mommm." She murmered. Miracle snorted and nosed her, now growing impatient for he was hungry and needed his bottle. Stacy rolled onto her other side, still asleep and dreaming. Miracle snorted and nosed her harshly, giving her a sharp nip.
Stacy yelped and rubbed her arm, glaring at Miracle, her hair and clothes a mess with straw covering her. "Miracle!" She said in a yawn. "Whyyy?" She asked and the young colt nudged her again. "Oh yes, your bottle." She said and stood up and stretched, huffing and yawning, only to be nipped in the butt. "I'm going." She muttered and walked out from the stall, not even bothering to shut it, because she knew Miracle would freak out. The young colt followed Stacy like a dog as she fixed up his bottle.

Sadie glanced up and nodded, offering a faint smile. "Yeah, she's so bipolar." Sadie frowned at this. Sometimes, her filly was incredibly sweet and adoring, and did everything her owner asked. And then there were other times when she wouldn't listen, would kick out, nip, bite, and just be a nightmare. Sadie let out a sigh as she smacked the filly's nose when she attempted to bite her. Sadie muttered something under her breath to the extent that she would take her out later. Sadie didn't want to run the filly at the moment, mainly she just wanted to go grab something to eat and pop a few painkillers. Her head was starting to bother her more lately, but she didn't think much of it. Her eyebrows kinked when the filly finally complied. Sadie let her out into the pasture before sighing and turning on her heel, glancing around the facility.
