Ever's head shot up,"No!"she all but shouted. A blush crept up into her cheeks,"I mean.. Uh.. No, please stay. I need a friend right now."she said as she leaned heavily on Devious. Her bottom lip quivered, but she got it under control. She rubbed Devious's neck,"I sold her.. To my mom.. But I'm not ready to let her go.. I know I know.. She's going to my mom.. But she's going overseas.. And.. And.."she slowly began to cry. Forgetting everything about being a weak. She whimpered as she rubbed her horses mane.
No more words left her as she cried silently and held her mare close. She didn't know what she was going to do without her.

[Sorry for poofing, had...issues]
Keely hesitated, glancing away rather shyly. She was quite for a few moments, studying the ground below her, as if it was the most important thing in the world. Finally summing up enough courage, she glanced up, and offered a hesitant smile. Slowly, she slipped off of the fence, landing on her feet. Brushing a curled lock away from her face, she made her way over to the woman, strides long, and seemingly confident. Her pace slowed as she started to near Skya, as she grew more hesitant by the second. She finally stopped a foot or so awzy, and tipped her head to the side, uttering. "Hello."

Aiden shifted awkwardly, unusual eyes scanning over Zeph's daughter. The filly was beautiful, undeniably so. He shrugged in answer. He wasn't one much for holding conversations, either. Not enough practice. "Good, I guess. Considering we're getting two foreign mares shipped in for coverings is good news. That hasn't happened in over ten years, at least for this facility. Currently, Sandifer is our top stud...Alluded One hasn't gained much interest just yet, but he's new. He and Dusk's Pride are shipping out tomorrow morning. That's about it...there's not much else to tell...I mean, the mares are doing well, two in foal, and Gracie will be covered in the spring because she got her year off after Skya got her foal." Aiden shrugged. "It's business as usual..." The breeding program was the lifeblood of the facility, but it had never been Aiden's favorite part of the job.
Miguel faltered, looking conflicted when Ever called him back, needing a friend. He didn't make mention that not long ago, she'd gotten all pissed about nothing. He silently pulled her into a quick hug. "You've got money though. You can go overseas and visit whenever it strikes you. You've got the dough to get tickets and visit your mother and your horse whenever you want." He furrowed his eyebrows and shifted.

[When's that final part of your plan or whatever going to happen? My curiosity is killing me D:]
Sadie nodded slowly as she patted Lu's nose through the fence where the filly had stuck her muzzle through. The cherry bay snorted and pulled her head back and looked at Aiden inquisitively, ears pricking forward at the young facility owner. She snorted softly and pawed at the fence, wanting out. Sadie rolled her eyes before she responded to Aiden. "That's good. I hope the birthing of the two mares go well." She commented, making a slight, unnoticeable face at this. Lu let out a low whinny, wanting to go for a run. "I just put you in there, and now you want out?" Sadie groaned at the filly.
[Sorry, short, just ate dinner.]

{ and as long as I got my suit and tie, gonna leave it all on the floor tonighhhht}
Skya smiled politely. "Hey. Come in, we don't bite," She motioned for the girl to enter the arena. BamBam paced cheerily nearby, walking over and perking his ears at Keely. She was new. The curious yearling nickered welcomingly to her, bobbing his head and pawing at the fence. "Shh. C'mon, boy." She grabbed his halter and backed him away from the entrance so Keely could come in. The colt giddily stood there, excited and wanting to get to know the woman. "You know Culver's son, BamBam, right? He's a doll. True charmer. You'll fall in love." She grinned proudly at the already tall bay, who had dipped his head and was looking up at the brunette curiously. He let out a snort, quizzically peering at the green-eyed human.

[You're the first person to ask, Goldiemeister. I dunno. I just changed it. //shrug]
"Uh-huh. One can only hope. I'll just be happy when Private Maiden has had her foal. She is the epitome of a hormonal mare..." Aiden made a face, studying the dapple gray mare as she grazed. Her belly was round with a foal, but she wasn't huge yet. Once she was closer to ten months, she'd be absolutely enormous and completely unbearable. She'd become a nightmare by that time, sour moods and biting tendencies. Once the foal was out, she'd return to her quiet, reserved self.
Adam eventually returned from the track. His stomach was churning, but Adam ignored it. Painkillers on an empty stomach was never smart, but he had no time to deal with breakfast. He still had to work PV and go for a run before reporting to the track. He attended to Tremolo before checking in on Celestial Zephyr. The stallion was looking quite a bit better than he had the night before. He was drinking fluids, but he was still uncomfortable.

Ever nodded silently taking some comfort in Miguel's soothing words, but still it was hard giving her horse up. She had worked so hard to get her to the top and than worked twice as hard to get her back on her feet. Ever buried her head against his chest and than she pulled away,"Thank you."she whispered, smiling sadly. She had to sell Devious it was too much of a burden for Ever to keep her at Cross, she wasn't making any money and Ever even though she had money couldn't keep the finical burden. Her lip began to quiver once more.

(Tooniggghhhhtt! We are Young! So lets set the world on fire!)
Jessie searched for her husband, Jess, while Zoey was taking a nap. Her birthday was tomorrow and she was very excited. "Jess? Are you down here?" the redhead called as she walked down the bunkhouse stairs to look at the bottom level. Her icy blue eyes blinked a few times, trying to get adjusted from the darkness of the bedroom to the brightness downstairs. She had just gotten the cake for Zoey's party and it was sitting in the fridge, a small cake in the shape of a horseshoe with Happy Birthday ZOEY! written in bright green icing on the gray colored icing on the cake.
Zoey was sleeping in her mother and father's bed, the little plushie of Gal tucked under her arm. She still sucked on her thumb, but it was subconsious and only happened when she slept. Her hair was loose around her tiny frame and her eyelashes rested on her cheeks while she slept, the perfect persona of innocence at the moment.

Sadie nodded and sighed quietly. "Yeah, Nessie was like that. A sweet little thing but when she was pregnant, man, she was mean." Sadie mused quietly, arms crossing across her chest as she nodded. LuLu kept poking her shoulder and she frowned. "Sorry, Aiden. I'm gonna take Lu out. She's driving me crazy. It was nice talking with you. See you around, I guess." She added rather awkwardly before turning to slip into the pasture. LuLu immediately wandered over and pushed her nose into her owner's side. Sadie was quick to clip the lead to the filly's leather halter before she lead her back to the barn. She nodded once to Aiden as she passed and led the filly back into the barn. She sighed, realizing her hands were shaking slightly as she disappeared into the tack room to retrieve Sunkissed Lullaby's saddle and bridle.

Adam stifled a cough as he realized something belatedly. Paranormal Vortex was racing today. Spectacular. He suddenly brightened. He had to go ask Jessie if she'd bring Zoey by to watch PV's race. Adam was hoping that, if the colt could win, that it'd be special for Zoey. She seemed to like him, but Adam knew for sure the colt absolutely adored her. He wasn't going to work PV out today. He had to save his energy for the race.
Miguel felt a surge of panic when Ever started tearing up again. He was better at dealing with emotions than Alexander or Aiden, but he still wasn't sure what to do. "Uh...please don't cry, Ever." What was he supposed to do? What if Ethan or someone else came along and assumed he was the source of her tears? That'd be bad.
