Aric rubbed at his forehead with one hand, pinching the bridge of his nose. He stared out one of the windows of his home, lost in his thoughts. He wondered if Bree would accept him as her lifemate. If not, her memories would be wiped ad Aric would be forced to stay away in fear of resurrecting her buried thoughts. Aric groaned, his heart tormented. In a short amount of time, he'd fallen for the young female.

Bree at the moment, was in another room, wanting to be left alone for a while. Afte Aric had told her everything she had been shocked, even scared. But it all made sense, especially about the cause of her attack. She didn't know how to feel about this life-mate business. It was....odd. So...if she didn't agree....Aric would become upset? Since the bond was physical too. But she didn't like him that way at all. Sure, he was handsome, strong, and really nice, so it wouldn't be bad to hang out around him. She knew she would definately grow to ove him in time, but still. "Aric?" She called softly, venturing out of her hiding place to confront him. "Do you want me to say yes? I mean....I'll never see you again will I?" Her sides heaved in a distressed huff, and she tentatively rested a hand on his arm.[So....what does she know? Everything?]

[yeah]
"No," Aric responded, his voice soft. "If you should choose to say no, you will not. And this is your decision, Bree. It is not about what I want. You need to make this choice on your own, not because of my wishes." He turned, silver-gray gaze watching her carefully. "Lucian has decided that you may return to your home. Someone will be watching your home twenty-four seven in case the rogue returns." He sighed. "A new guard will be assigned. You need to think this through without my interference." He watched her, etching her face into his mind, certain she'd say no. It would break his heart, but he would respect that decision. There was a chance in the next few centuries that he'd find another lifemate. Life-mates complemented each other, and Bree's friendly and talkative nature tempered Aric's more intense, silent, guarding personality.

Bree's face had fallen, and she glanced away. "Oh." She stepped away, pulling her hand back so it rested at her side. "You'll just find another life-mate, though. I mean...I'm nothingspecial." She gave a shrug, avoiding his gaze as she turned away. "And besides, I'm human." She uttered with a sigh, running a hand through her long hair. She was upset by this point, and it showed by the frustrated, wary, and crest-fallen expressions on her face.

"The likelihood of me finding another life-mate are more or less zero." Aric sighed. "And you are special, Breanna. You are strong and stubborn, even in the face of potential death. You fought back against the rogue, even when he had control of your mind. I saw the look in your eyes; you were trying to break his control. That is strength. You are beautiful, and I would not change a thing about you. Whether you are mortal or not does not make a difference. Mortality can be changed. If you do not trust in your heart, trust in the nanos. They do not make mistakes." Aric reached out, gently tucking a stray strand of hair behind Bree's ear, a very gentle, loving expression etched on his face.

Bree listened silently to Aric's response, trying to hide her face as she did so. But she had no choice but to look up at him when he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She flushed in embarassed pleasure, her cheeks turning to a bright shade of pink. She knew that no one else could possibly like her like Aric did, and that she would not find anyone exactly like him. How could she refuse, and because of this, never see him again? A soft sigh escaped her lips as she leaned towards his touch, eyes fluttering closed.

Aric sighed with relief when Bree leaned into his touch, breathing in her scent. "Cherie," he told her, voice gentle, "you must understand the consequences that come with the potential choice of staying with me." His expression softened, thumb gently stroking Bree's cheek. She had a lovely scent - floral somehow, like a bouquet of a million different flowers. He pulled her into a warm, comforting hug, wrapping her into a secure hold.

[Night]
Bree leaned into Aric's solid, sturdy frame. She allowed him to envelop her in the warm hug, wrapping her own arms around him too. She was silent, head limply lolling against his chest. "There are benefits too." She answeres softly, voice merely a whisper. She listened to the rythmic sound of his heart , letting the rise and fall of his chest lull her into some sort of a daze. She would really miss him if she decided to leave
