Bree paused in the middle of trying to rip Aric's skin open, and her eyes widened. Her eyes swivelled over to Lucian and then up to Aric, before down at his neck. She quickly raised her head, licking her lips and teeth with a weird expression on her face. Slowly her gaze travelled up to Aric's face and she froze. Breath hitched in her throat, she tried to pull away from him by pushing on his chest. "I-I....please." she stuttered, face withering as she stumbled away, and landed on her rump with a thud.

Bree leaned away from Aric, her eyes troubled. "Aric...." she breathed, eyes scanning over his body. "You came too late....you don't understand...just...go." she whimpered, trying to keep her tears at bay. But it was too much, and she burst into tears, drawing her legs into her chest.

"I didn't want to turn, Aric! He forced me. It hurt so bad, it wasn't fair. I wanted to stay a human! I don't want to drink blood!" She wailed, allowing Aric to clutch her close. "It took you to long. It's not fair." She managed to whimper through her sobs. After a few minutes, the sobs subsided, and she weakly rested her head on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry Bree," Aric murmured. "We came as fast as we could. And this existence isn't so bad. You don't get sick, you don't age, and you can eat food. You don't even have to drink the blood."

Bree was silent, shoulders slumped in sad defeat. Her gaze slowly drifted to Lucian, and she sighed, eyes starting to drift shut."Where is he)?" She asked as she pulled her head from his shoulder to peer up at him."Guess I'll start really liking you soon, huh?" She asked with a bittersweet smile.
