Ember simply stared at the limp form of her sister;"Sister..."she repeated, but it felt wrong in her mouth. She glanced back at Jai's pleading eyes and she sighed. She hated doing this to him, I have to help her.. she flinched. She really hated when Jai was in pain and she was cause of it. She leaned up and kissed forehead, before she pulled softly away from him. The girl slowly walked back over to her longforgotten twin. She knelt and laid a hand on her forehead. Ember's eyes closed and that's when she reached inside herself and called upon her power. The wind almost immediately rose and began to push everyone back, everyone but their father. Ember opened her eyes and turned to her father,"How? Daddy, how?"she asked her voice hoarse and than she ran to father and threw her arms around him,"How is this possible?"

Jai's hands curled into fists, his jaw clenching and unclenching. Ember. Please, please, don't go near her. He glared at the Ember look-alike sprawled on the ground, rage punching him in the gut. His eyes flashed and his body began to quiver. He struggled to hold his form together, struggled not to shift and rip the kidnapper's throat out. Jai took several deep breaths, dragging air through his nose. It didn't help much; Sabine's scent clotted the air, only serving to enrage his wolf even more. She'd tried to hurt his mate; his wolf wanted revenge, wanted to kill. When a light breeze slammed into Jai, forcing him to stagger back, he nearly shifted right then. He held his form, however, by sheer will-power, grinding his teeth together.
Unole grunted as Ember ran into him, instinctively raising his arms to catch her. He took a few deep breaths, thinking carefully on how to answer. "I don't know," he said softly. "She disappeared... when you two were very little. I thought she was dead." His voice broke a bit, betraying his emotion.

Orenda, now wide eyed and staring at Ember's doppleganger on the ground, backed away slightly. She mewed at her brother, before shifting once more into the form of a pheonix and flying away. The pheonix that was Orenda was a light lilac color, the same color as Orenda's eyes. She often took that form if she shifted quickly. She flew towards Stark, trying to think of where he might be. She started flying towards the Schimba's house, hoping he was there.

Stark stretched languidly, the tip of his tail flicking slightly. The jaguar shook himself, nimbly leaping from branch to branch as he made his way towards the ground. His front paws absorbed much of the landing, his shoulders buckling to avoid injury. He yawned, jaws splitting to reveal the pink of his maw, before he allowed his form to shift. Stark pulled himself to his rather tall height, eyes sparkling as he moved in the direction of the Schimba mansion, each of his movements as graceful as dancing.

The lilac pheonix plunged down, sharply as well as swiftly. Orenda gently plucked her claws through Stark's hair before landing on his shoulder. She rubbed her beak against his cheek before jumping off and landing on the ground. She had shifted on her way to the ground and stood before him now in a soft, white cotton dress. The lilac had retreated back to her irises, making her tanned skin seem tanner and her ebony curls even darker. Thick lashes ringed her eyes and matched the color of her hair to a tee. "The Princess has a sister. A twin sister." She said, her voice hushed and urgent.

Stark gave Orenda an odd look as she landed on his shoulder, leaping away to shift. He quirked an eyebrow at her, watching her with an amused expression that quickly faded to disbelief at her words. "How..." he trailed off, stunned. How was this possible?

"I was a twin..."Ember whispered, she released her father and she began to pace and as she did so the wind began to pick up in speed. It was like Ember was creating a mini tornado around her and her sister even her father was no longer safe. Tears began to slid down Ember's face as the truth finally hit her. Her emotions were wild ranging anywhere from rage to sadness. She looked at her father,"You didn't tell me."she said, her voice flat. The princess than knelt once more beside her sister, maybe there was a chance they could help her. They could give her life once more and give her a purpose. Orenda! Ember's voice was strong as she called upon the healer. Heal her. was all she said and there was no room for an argument. Ember turned than and walked out of the vortex and once she was outside of it, it vanished. The princess nodded to her mate,"Let's go home."she said.

Unole swung his arms up to protect his face from any debris flung at him by Ember's whirlwind instinctively, squinting. "I thought she was dead," he told his heir, his voice breaking a bit on the last word. "I thought... your mother thought..." he trailed off, as if gathering himself for the next few words. "We didn't want to live the pain of losing a child," he said softly, his voice filled with a father's grief. "She disappeared, and even a mother's desperate search could not save her." Unole's face crumpled in pain as the Schimba King grieved for the daughter he'd lost, and swam in the joy that she still lived.
Jai's hands curled into tight fists, jaw grinding back and forth as his mate's power lashed out against him, biting winds slashing at his arms and face. Every one of his instincts demanded that he kill the threat to his mate, but Jai would never - could never - hurt Ember like that. He loved her far too much. When his mate stepped close to him, Jai reached forward and pulled her against him, breathing in her comforting scent for a long minute. The scent of cotton candy and fresh fallen snow acted like a purifying wave, washing away the taint of Sabine's scent. His wolf calmed a bit, knowing his mate was close and safe. Jai's emerald eyes snapped up, focusing intently on Sabine as he began to back away, pulling his mate with him, praying that she wouldn't fight him on this.

Ember shook her head,"No fight this time."she whispered, her voice wary. It was as if Ember had aged. She simply nodded to her father,"Alright."was all she said. There was no fight left in her voice. She curled around Jai's touch, worn out."Let's go home."she repeated, and than she started towards their home.

Jai kept a firm grip on his mate as they headed in the direction of their home, expression a mix of relief and frustration. Part of him wanted to go and kill Sabine for even thinking to harm his mate, while another part of him was relieved that she was unharmed. He sighed softly.
